My doctor prescribed Chantix and an anti-depressant (I have clinical depression) at the *same* time. It didn't make my depression worse, however, I'm convinced that the only reason Chantix helps you quit smoking is because it makes you feel sick as heck so you don't want a cigarette.

Champix almost ruined my marriage ... between feeling ill as anything (which makes me want to smoke because I am feeling sorry for myself) and making me seriously moody and stressed out ....

So glad I found e-cigs and I can't believe that HC is ok with Champix, yet not OKing nic juice ...

One of the side effects of Champix is depression and mood swings, along with the normal nausea, vomiting and a bunch of other side effects that many drugs have. Zyban is actually an anti-depressant. When the drug was in the testing phase, they realized that people had lost interest in smoking and some people had actually quit. Then Voila, a new smoking cessation drug is born.

Yea, I did the Zyban thing. Got me down to less than a half pack a day, but I never could kick them. insurance questionnaire lists Zyban as one of the drugs that if you have taken it will cause your insurance premiums to be higher. It does not matter that you took it for smoking cessation - it is an anti-depressant and they want to charge you more any way they can...
