I'm looking for the same
MY kanger protank leaked ,gurgles
the tank that came with my mvp2.0 has a bad taste
my week old kanger aero is now leaky and gurgles

Look into a rebuildable, a coil lasts a month or more and a wick is good for a week or so. Running costs are pennies a month and the flavour and vapour are unsurpassable.

I avoided rebuildables for ages and kick myself for not getting to vape nirvana sooner.

Oh my ImageX ...... Ya opened the old can-o-worms, huh? Strong opinions seem to get some perfect-people all riled-up - it's that "Knowlitically Correct" syndrome. Picky-picky-picky, huh?

Had ya' changed a few words - ya' coulda been "praised" instead of "braised" and that "form thing" would have soared to new heights! :) When I read you passionate opinion I added a couple words - yanked out a couple and it magically happened. :) A 'Gold Medal' and trip to the podium for your 'recommendation'!

"Now had ya said something along the line of, "All I see .... mentioned ...... are clearomizers and they suck", well, ........... can ya imagine the uproar? Oh wait. That was said and drew no finger-slaps. Strange. :( instead of :) Such are the benefits of 'something'; the 'stars' can always change the direction of a discussion and do so with immunity. You are not the first to be slapped down for an opinion that was perhaps helpful; it happens all the time. Don't lose sleep over it. :)

I think the issue is more that it is in the new member section. We need to attempt to keep this section for easy to use products for new members trying to learn to vape. Every long timer can remember not knowing what a ohm, atty, rba etc even meant. I love my kayfun and think it's a great vape but keeping it simple and safe here actually helps the new members more than a better vape would. I would not want new vapers to give up because it appears to be to hard or confusing. I think that if you start with a powerful vape making device allot of the journey and learning curve gets lost. So it's not a slap down consider it more a difference in approach.

wow didnt realize this got to 13 pages. as I'm reading back I wanted to again thank you. Such an awesome community here! you have this broken down to a science and it's cool to see you're different preferences and experiences. Maybe I will get something in the future just to have tried it but for now I am really digging this thing. I'm still on my first out of the box head unit with no wick mod on it and i've chain vaped the crap out of it. very pleased. I just needed to learn how to use the gear. I do wish they would've given better directions in the box outlining the useful info i've read in this thread and forum but the problem was just my lack of knowledge. 2 .5 days of no cigs. this sure beats the first gen ecigs i got fed up with. go science!

2.5 days with no cigs is awesome!! Keep it p and have patience. I know what you mean about directions in the box. It's like the manufactures just assume we all know what we are doing. It's hard when just starting out. Fortunately the is a lot of info here and online. Just google your problem and you'll find a ton of help. Or do what you did. Throw up a thread here and sit back while the fun begins!!! :toast:

My favorite tank has to be my x. Jet spider. Only time it's ever leaked was when I continued using a bad coil (first time vaping without a cig alike) didn't know what I was doing. Although doesn't feel as durable but my iclear 16b gives a nice flavorful vape without leaking. I can't stand my iclear 30b though. Very airy draw, leaks, just not a fan, although the metal parts feel sturdy and I liked the rotating tip, the plastic tank body has me worried about threading,,. Tank body feels cheap.

The protank itself uses the 510 connection to the battery but if you get a miniprotank base for it, (and add a second silicone cap on top to fill the gap) you will reduce the CONGESTION that goes on in the 510 threadwell which causes functionality problems.

Does it matter if it's a miniprotank 1 or 2 base? I'm looking at some sites and am seeing allot of the miniprotank2 bases. (I'm using the PT 2.)

And anything else anyone can think of I can buy to pimp my protank? I'm gonna order some wick while im at it

Hmmm. well I have miniprotank not miniprotant2 and I assumed it was the same base; I need to find out if that's the case now that you mention it.

I got my kanger aerotank a few days ago and it gave me problems with gurgling, little/no vapour and spitting liquid in my mouth from the start.

I had to take it apart and clean it with tissue (and water if i emptied the tank and started over). I think i did this about 2 or 3 times and it just randomly started working perfectly, now i couldn't recommend it enough, the control of airflow really has become essential for me now.

Maybe if you take your pt 2 apart and wipe it/clean it a few times it'll start working too.

The nautilus aspire has got even better reviews then the aerotank and has 5ml capacity but its pricey...

I did some digging. The Mini Prontank 1 and 2 replacement bases are both interchangable with the Protank 2(and they seem to be identical). I went ahead and ordered 1. Then I read some good things about the Aerotank base and ordered one since it is also interchangable with the Protank 2. Also i took mine apart to clean it and i noticed the pyrex was a bit chipped on the inside lip where the base hooks into! I am 99% sure it came like this since I never found any glass and havent taken it apart before. Its the size of a thumbnail amount of glass missing. It's still hitting like a champ and i ordered a new glass replacement for only 4 bucks but thought I would mention since I guess it would be wise for everyone to inspect newly bought tanks by tanking them all the way apart first.

I had it happen today so I decided to clean it all the way. I noticed my atomizer had gotten pretty lose somehow. Made sure everything was nice and tight and went back to perfect working order again

Fyi, the kumiho itank you need a needle to fill. A pia!!
Good looking device. Very similar in style to the kanger protank. But some airflow problems so you have to keep it loose.

I bought a bunch of different style aspire bdc's not happy as of yet.
Gonna give them a wash in case that is the problem.
I can say the kumiho and aspire brands are identical, even the coils.
Usually i dont have to wash anything before filling, but so far my adv's taste funny.

So far none are comparable to the cartotanks.

For all the complaints I read about the protank I absolutely love my Pt2. It really is a Damn kick ... vape once you understand why it leaks and how to prevent it. 50/50 juices.. flip the little rubber grommet that sits on the post over the atomizer so the walls are facing up. Let the tank sit/ primer puff it a few times before the first hit after filling it. Don't hit it too hard. Don't get juice in the center post when filling. Burp the tank (relieve air pressure) about every 1/3 of a tank possibly more if near empty by opening the bottom as though you were going to fill it, then close it. And if you do happen to get some gurgle hold the tank upside down above you and blow through the drip tip until you hear air flow free. Dab with a vaper towel and viola.

Get other tanks if you really feel the need. But imo you should give the Pt2 another go, it'll treat you right if you do the same to it.

I got my PT2 and PT2 Mini in the mail today and I'm loving them both.

I've likewise had few problems with the Evod BCC clearomizers (they are all I used anymore except now I have the pyrex PT2s). I hear a lot of complains about all of these... but I guess I have been lucky.
