Hey, I'm just curious has anyone experienced better lung function by switching to vaping instead of smoking cigarettes? I like to do things like playing basketball and since I used to smoke, I always ran out of breath easily.

Does anyone do any sports and noticed that they aren't running out of breath so easily since you started vaping?

The summer before I quit smoking we went camping and hiked up to a waterfall. Not a strenuous climb at all. I was definitely wheezy at the top. One year later we went to the same spot and after the climb I was not even breathing heavily. The only change ... vaping ... not smoking.

I have increased lung function, stamina and almost anything else health related. Before starting vaping March 1st 2012 I had smoked for 45 years and was currently smoking 25-30 stinkies a day. I had almost no motivation to do anything after coming home from work, now I am working outside until dusk every day. I feel 10 years younger!!!

Oh definitely more lung capacity, now. After 25 years of smoking, even the kids have noticed I can yell much louder, and for a longer period of time.

Personally, despite how heavy I smoked, I wasn't having many issues before I quit, so I haven't noticed much change. I can smell more things now, maybe a slight increase in taste. That's about it.

A friend of mine switched to vaping after seeing how well it was working for me. She used to wake up coughing and hacking every day. Now she wakes up feeling great.

There was someone posting on the board when I started switching that said they had, after switching to vaping, started running again, and were training for a marathon. They were a long-time smoker who had quit running due to their lack of breath, but once they started vaping, they were able to start running again.

I am getting ready to quit analogs - again. I am in hopes that I can get the first few "rough" days behind me...

Once I get those days behind me, I plan to start working out and training again. I have smoke about a pack a day for the last 35 or so years and I do get winded. I am so anxious for that to stop!

Your going to feel so much better, every aspect of my health improved since I made the switch. No more morning hacking, or the wheeze that plagued me all night long. No more choking or getting winded when I eat, or wild coughing fits if I laugh. It's wonderful!!!!! For the first time in my life I can jump on a treadmill and go 5 miles in an hour without feeling like my lungs are on fire. :)
