We are waiting for the improved one to come, will be ready to sell early next week. the improved one will have a longer battery cup which will have a spring inside . so it will screw in perfectly with the switch parts. the improved ones will also use the machine made connectors.

All the indulgence order made today, and yesterday , we will stop at the custom. and will delay to ship Till 3th or 4th to ship. thanks for your understanding

Kind regards

Thank you for the update and professionalism. I have yet to receive mine, but I am now worried.

Shouldn't these things have been inspected before shipping? I am happy that your willing to replace defective items, it shows good customer service. It just appears that you've let something very important slip by you and that was quality assurance and quality manufactured pieces before shipping.(Are they really flying out the door faster than you could see?)

Now that you've gotten these items fixed or arranged to be fixed, although you've extended a good gesture of offering a replacement whether something is wrong or not.

I would think that a replacement to all those who ordered prior to your fix should get a replacement automatically without having to contact you in regards to this since this was caught very early into your release.

This isn't me wanting a freebie by any means, but it just seem like the right thing to do. Yes, that may be costly to you, but mistakes are never cheap.

Also, that still looks like a tact switch that is just unsoldered. Why not just use or make a contact spring switch that can endure high volts with out it eventually going bad?(tact switches go bad whether soldered or not.)
Maybe that's asking too much of a $59.00 mod that is expected to match or exceed the quality of a $100+ mod?

thanks for your post, for the ones who has problem, no need to worry , we for sure to replace it . all are inspected before shipping, but only focused on function, and the problem people may have now is some protected battery is not the same hight as the other, that will make the battery cup can not screwed in completely. this is why we asked the fac to send us a improved one. $59 does not mean bad quality , as a new model, it takes time to be perfect, but we will always be here to responsible for any problems. and this is our way of treating customers

Thanks again and happy new year

Thanks for the response. Mine should be here in a few days, so I'll check for these things when it arrives.

As for the $59.00 comment, I wasn't implying that it is cheap quality or that it was intended to be for 59 bucks. I'm sure the intent was to blow all other competitors out of the water, and I am sure it would in the future.

But please keep in mind of a common saying, "first impressions are lasting ones," when you state that perfection of your new item takes time. It implies that you knowingly marketed a flawed product in this circumstance.

For instance, Indulgence Version 2 added self drip or sensor switch added to improve the model or take it to a new level to achieve perfection.

Not, fixed flaws that kept it from performing properly.
Most of us consumers like to think that perfection of a product was achieved the first time before selling and improvements were made along the way which only made it better.

Any way, that's just my 2 cents. Thanks again, and I await my item. Happy New Year to you.

David,

The switch in the picture looks like a tact switch to me. I think I've got one right in front of me that looks exactly the same and it is rated at 50mA. I've seen a slightly bigger version of similar switch that was rated at 100mA. But even if we are to assume the one in Indulgence is 100mA that is still over ten times short of 1.3A or more that will be going thru that switch ... Could you tell us the current this switch is designed for?

Thank you.

Hi david,

If you are looking for your indulgence test sample, i think i got it :)

I have received my indulgence, and all connectors and body have dirt and some minor scratches. They have been heavily used before, i took some pics, if you want to see for future quality control (i can post here or send them by email).

Beside this esthetism issues, everything works, and protected 18650 fits well.
510 aty don't screw completly, but it also works.
same for original bottom part, it don't screw completly.

6v with 2x cr123 with HV aty is good.

Thanks for your post, please email me your pic and your order number to sales@eastmall.net.au , we will arrange replacement for you. the dirt you metioned is glue, this is because the manufacturer does not use the machine made connectors, now we have urged them to change. you may see the pics I posted a little while ago. I am sure it is not heavily used before, :). waiting for your email and a happy new year to you ;)

I received an email from customer support saying the first batch of ends was hand made but they are now machined and they will send me replacements. I have to agree with you all that customer support rocks!

After reading about the problems with the standard cup I tried mine (I normally use 18650 batteries) and you are correct - it only screws half way in. I hope my replacement parts include the new standard cup with spring as I plan to use this when out and about for a better pocket fit.

Now I just gotta wait a couple of weeks to receive my new ends, switch and, fingers crossed, a new cup with spring.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Unfortunately i too have suffered afew minor problems today with my new Indulgence but im still impressed with the overall quality and value for money it represents.

And once again i have been very very happy with the fantastic customer service i have received and cannot speak too highly of the effort that Eastmall are taking to resolve everything.

Hopefully the new year will bring with it good news for all

Happy New Year to everyone

Well, I for one am still looking forward to my device coming in, despite possible issues once it's in my hands. The fact that they highly communicate with in the forums and respond to peoples concerns is a plus in my book. Although, I haven't had the opportunity to deal with the customer service or ever had to with problems in the past, everyone's confirmation of good customer relations is very comforting.

Side note.....

Please do something about the tact switch which is highly unlikely to be rated for 1-2 amps, (I don't think there is such a thing since tact switches are used in electronics that don't require high currents to initialize response in a device's circuitry.) That's a major fault in my book, which may not serve to be a problem in the beginning, but will surely fail with repetitive use.

Well, I am too looking forward to my Indulgence getting here soon and I did have a GREAT experience with EM David, Ed and Di in the past. Despite the flows uncovered in it I am sure EM will do the right thing by us always. The tack switch is certainly a suspect in my book as well but I am willing to wait for Dave to get in touch with manufacture to get some answers before I start worrying about it. And, if even it is grossly underrated I am sure EM will get it fixed. Happy New Year to you all!

Even with minors issues i have (already forgotten with great Eastmall customer service), i really recommend this mod, a real deal for this price.

also, if you order this mod, think about ordering a janty pouch ($3) too, it can carry indulgence parts very well with its clip belt :)

Edited - found the pouch LOL
