My hope is that the Mutation works out well for me as a first rta experience and by then OBS will have worked out everything with the Crius and I will eventually have several Crii (lol that's what I'm going with as well) to replace my subohm tanks as I catch coil building fever. I understand that many people have no issues at all, but I have terrible luck and did not want to take the chance.

Regarding the Mutation, because this is technically a "3 post" design (with four holes, correct?) will that mean the legs of my coils will be different lengths or is that not a problem for consistency with TC wires? I am just parroting stuff I have heard in the past back so please correct me if I am wrong.

Don't get yourself all wadded up until you try it! Is this going to be your first time coiling? If so start with Kanthal & get the hang of wrapping! If not build your coils the same way you normally do. This beast builds as easy and as big as my Mutation X V4 and if you're used to building an RBA then this will be a breeze! the biggest thing to remember is to stuff this thing with wick! when you think you have enough add a little more. Pretty much all of us had a little learning curve with getting it right so not your luck just time to learn! I've found it works best for me to wet my wick, stuff them carefully into channels, install chimney then trim wicks so they stick out just a little and poke the excess into channel! I run 28g nickel 8 "spaced" wraps on a 3mm I.D. OHMS some were between .08 to .10!:vapor:

That's a pretty rig! I was thinking about the Fuchai but I want the bigger screen! After you get the flavor and the warmth of the Mutation the unscrewing will be an insignificant thing!

@DavidOH, how do you like it so far? No one has been giving reports yet. Vape Royalty had a great sale!

Well after day two I'm liking it a lot. I came from a XPV That I dropped and the screen stopped working. (the mod still worked) It is haft the size and a lot lighter. I got this cause I liked the slant and the duel 18650. Still getting use to the fell and the weight. You know the place where muscle memory takes over and you just grab and vape. I agree the white sleeve is lame but it's only going to be on at work. The screen is really nice. Bright and big font. I've put just over 11mil of juice at 23 watts through the Lemo2 and the battery meter says I'm still 3/4 charged. So far  (pic sucks but you get the idea)

First after 2 days the resistance was all over the place. The 510 pin would spin and not adjust. I never used anything stronger than my thumbnail on it, so I know I didn't strip it. Then in my pocket the chimney came apart at the seam that never comes apart, it's press fit not threaded. So I got a pocket full of juice. My 2 new ones are fine, and have been for almost 2 weeks. I just hope my first mt was a fluke. But it should not be a press fit, should be one piece or threaded like a lemo cap

Did you ever find a fix for the chimney? mine did the same .... today :/

So my setup fell over on to the table today and the tank (chimney) came apart... Anyone had any issues with this?
same same... placed the chimney on a chopping board - light tap with a hammer... I agree that it should be either threaded or a one piece. This rta is in a bit of the fragile side...

Ok, Ok, I know. But I couldn't stand it. The new screws will have to wait for the next rebuild. I ran dual parallel (thanks to @MMW for reminding me why I like them) 28ga, 6/5 wrap on a 3mm mandrel for .4 ohms. I measured out at .38 ohms when I got it built. When I test fired it, I got one of the prettiest center-to-ends burns I've ever seen. I wicked it up, but I may have left one of the channels a bit shy. I'm still watching it to see if it's gonna leak. Not yet, though. Does she vape? Lord love a duck! She's a cloud chucker and no mistake. I love how the tank breathes; it's nearly unobstructed. Tested it at 30 watts, it was great. Ran it up to 35, it was better. Tried 40, seemed to burn the juice a tad. Backed off to 38 and she's just a steamthrower, is all I can say. I'm vaping it now, although I intended it for my car mod and it's loaded with the DIY Cinnamon Red Hots I use for my ADV. Partly because I want to watch for leaks, and partly because I want to vape it past the rayon break in to taste the juice a bit better and play with the wattage some. Thank you, one and all, for talking me into buying it. I've been looking for this tank for some time. Years, actually :)
