Suprtrkr- you took what I was thinking and put it right back into terms that make sense. Yes it may be relatively insignificant, but any percent of power wasted is no good... That's really why I love these forums... Btw, is that " super trucker"? What do you drive. I have a heavy duty repair shop and we do a lot of custom fabrication here in Pennsylvania...
It's an old handle. I used to run 48 state. When I came off the road I swore a mighty oath to never again step foot outside Texas and have so far kept it. Most months I don't leave Houston :)

@roxynoodle has a set of "monster claptons" in the one she calls "satan". She'll be along, I'm sure, shortly to tell you what kind and so forth.
Sweet. Just got the project sub ohm version and have been using one of the prebuilt coils it came with. Those are pretty terrible so I'm going to use the rebuildible deck. Just weighing my options.

"Rebuild deck?" You have the Mutank? If so, Roxy has the MT, which has no premade coil option. I'm looking at the Mutank myself, but I want to wait until the Velocity style deck comes out. And there's been some conversation about the factory coils; you are not alone in your experience.

I did 7 wrap 26g core 32g outer on a 3mm bit and it fit just fine.

Cool, I'll try again next build. I'm pretty sure it was actually 24/28 since that tube is still on the desk and my tube of 26/32 is in my bag.....

lol. I thought they were pretty much the same. So they make one with a fixed deck? Now I'm salty that I didn't get that one. lol

Well, they are pretty much the same. The Mutank has an option for premade coils plus a RBA deck, and the MT is build-only. :)

I tried a 26/32 with 2.5 mm I'd, chimney wouldn't fit.

Thinking it needs a 28/40

There's my 7 wrap 26g 32g 3mm id Clapton's. I just took the cotton out to clean the coils and re wick it. I've had these in here for a couple weeks.

I put them close to the posts out of habit from coiling my 3 post aromamizer that I had and they fit fine
