️Bman123- I was wrapping my coils in the direction I usually do out of habit, but the leg to the outside post was always on the bottom, and the wick was resting on the leg... I finally saw the solution, wrap the opposite way. I see your coils are wrapped the correct direction... Is that purposeful, or just the way you usually wrap them?

That's the way I always wrap them, I learned that way so I do everything like that

Well luckily it's the right way for this tank. On 2 post decks it doesn't matter, but this deck it def makes it easier to squeeze another wrap or 2 in without having an obstacle for your wick

Does anyone "gap" the distance from the airflow inlet to the bottom of the coil?? I set mine with a 2 mm coil jig.. At 1.5 mm gap I can't notice any difference between AFC 3/4 open and AFC wide open. 2mm I can notice the difference. Anything over 2 mm gap gives increased harshness and throathit...
I do not. But thanks for the hint. I eyeball it, myself. But I also tend to run air wide open anyway. I like a free draw.

My experience was running wide open, but I checked the gap and then looked for AFC adjustment, and realized the "choke point" was caused by the coil smothering the air inlet a bit, when it should be the AFC gap is always the choke point. This allowed me more airflow when needed. Just turn your AFC ring down a bit and see if it gets less air, if not, your coil is probably choking your airflow...

I'll have a smack at it.

Just got back from vapordna a couple of hours ago and got the UD 26g/32g clapton wire. I also picked up some of the Suicide Bunny Mothers Milk & Cookies, and Golden Ticket juice. Noticed when I got home they gave me 0mg in the mothers milk (I'm pretty ...... cause now i gotta make a trip back there). The Golden ticket tastes exactly like chocolate nesquik milk! I built dual 6wrap 2.5ID .4ohm clapton coils sitting on my sigelei 50w. I think I need to upgrade my box mod because I have a feeling that the flavor will just keep getting better as the wattage increases... Anyone have any clapton coil advice for me that I can try? (These were my first set of claptons) Also, does anybody have the new MUTANK and the mt? I'd like to see if the chimneys are interchangable hehe

50 watts isn't much, I run my 6 wrap 3mm claptons in a rda at 125 watts and it will handle more wattage for sure. I'd imagine at 50 watts it takes a while to ramp up, if the vape is good for you stick with it, if not get a higher wattage box. Hell they are cheap enough now a days

I wrap in the same direction Bman does, but put the left hand lead (bottom) in a neg post, and the right hand lead (top) in a pos post. Habit I guess from attys with a raised positive post/block.
That's what it is, I used a troll rda for a long time before I got my velocity rda, then I sold it and went back to my troll. I like building on those decks

It prob takes 2 seconds or so to start giving me a hit, but once it starts it STARTS! Maybe I shouldve gotten the nichrome/kanthal clapton wire i saw online? Any different size/wraps I can try with this wire i have now to possibly get some better performance?

Less wraps will heat up faster. I use a 7 wrap Clapton same wire and 3mm id at 90-100 watts and it heats up decently quick in my MX rta. My pics of it are in post 1,639 and you can see the coils I'm taking about

My sweet spot with kanthal dual 26g 7 wrap 2.5ID .5ohm. It runs very well on my 50. Can you suggest something close to that?

Here's a pic of my first Clapton build
