its steady at .14 and both coils are firing. its just one takes a little longer to glow. is this ok or should they glow evenly?
Yeah, a .3 doubled ought to be .15 ohms. I can't think of a reason it won't work. You'll have to decide if you like it yourself :)

if the resistance suddenly doubles, I think broken leg on one of the coils. If only one is firing, it should be double resistance.

Cowtown, USA. Where the West begins.
They should glow evenly. Try "strumming" them. Heat until glowing, release the fire button, and stroke down the length of the coils with a screwdriver tip. I have no idea why, but that usually fixes it for me. Oh, and check to make sure all the screws are tight, and count the loops to make sure you built them even.

why. why do you come in here with shiney new toys to taunt us... That thing looks killer.

To the guy with the dual coils in the griffin... your sure your coils are even/ same wraps? same ID? screws good and tight in both legs? Coils should fire evenly from center out. if one is firing faster (Getting red sooner) than the other one, that coils is going to be running hotter than the other and can cause burnt hits. I dont have a lot of experiance with claptons, ut is it possible that you snipped the core wire with the post screws? that may mess up how the coil is working.

Ok, off to check out the diablo... I gotta start staying off ECF.....

Ok, so an update on my TFV4! Been through 5 prebuilt coil types; triple, quad, dual clapton, dual Ti, & sextuple! They just kept getting better except for the quad! It was just meh! They all have lasted about 9 days! The sextuple is my favorite by far for flavor it's only problem is at 100w (best for me) it just guzzles juice & batt. even on my RX! The flavor & warmth it has are just outstanding! I can actually taste all the flavors in my DIYs! The peach is peachier, the apricot is apricotier.....! OMG THIS THING IS A FLAVOR BEAST! 'Nuff of the good stuff! The biggest problem I've had with this tank is that the top fill doesn't have a positive lock! This became a problem at Disneyland when the top rotated open in my pants pocket while on Space Mountain! Dumped a full tank 5ml of juice in my pants! Not a deal breaker because there was a simple solution; have the wife carry my rig in her purse! LOL! Stupid mistake on my part, just forgot about it not being secured like my beloved MT! Slam me cuz I'm stupid because in no way am I blaming the tank! Final thoughts; although this tank has Tremendous Flavor, because it consumes so much juice & batt. (as configured) I have to say it's my at home tank only, my MT is still my daily driver!:headbang:

so you ended up with 5 ml of "Juice" in your pants?? Poor guy... and as for the flavor, it is called the "Taste Furious" for a reason. I just got tired of always getting a toasted rubber taste from mine. If I vape half a tank through it the taste goes away, but let it sit a day and the taste is back. Ive moved on. Crown, Aromamizer, MT, MuTank, Ohmega Alpha in 22 and 30mm.... Now I seem to have a Diablo on the way... Im getting better flavor and the same vapor from my mutank and ohmega's than I ever did with my TFV4 using SS wire. Very happy and I dont have to drop 20 bucks for a pack of coils.
