FX22/Troy update:

I put the adjustable positive contact on a whetstone, flattening out the crown at the top of the screw and then wiping the threaded end for the rest of the distance. Took maybe 30 minutes over the course of an hour or so, in between tending to my N00b Shepherd duties and trying to keep up with the election returns.
Original length. 8.45mm:

Trimmed to 7.6mm

And fits like she was made for it (of course, she was, so why didn't they do that?) :)

@suprtrkr have you had a chance to work on the 510 swap yet?
Nope, dammit. Been too bloody busy. And about half my tools are packed as I intend to move sooner or later. All that's still up in the air right now.

That modded kanger is a disaster looking for the place with the "X" painted on it.

And no, I won't be moving to NH. I only like the place a lot during leaf season, the rest of the year it's merely miles better than the rest of the Northeast. I really prefer the temperate climate zone, thanks. As for Cali... I'd probably die by stones, or maybe go jihadi and start shooting Democrats until they dragged me down. I don't fit in around there; too conservative and libertarian. I mean, I get along ok with the farmers in the ag valleys, and the desert rats away out East, but the cities get under my fingernails :)

When I move, I plan on staying in Texas; more like just up to Ft. Worth. When I came off the road 8 years ago, I swore a mighty oath to never step foot out of Texas again. So far, I've kept it :)

I use both and both are high quality. You can just compare on features, dimensions and price, IMO.

From what I was able to read this mornong the veritube has a slightly shorter connecting shaft? For the most part when googling veritube vs fdv most of what came up was the November blow out on some patent thing.
