Good Evening Fellow Vapers!

Long time lurker, first time thread creator.

I've been vaping for quite a while now, but have recently gotten sick of the whole mess of switching coils or rewrapping new ones. It's just such a pain in the a**. I just got my Mark 10 coupon in the mail and this thing is such a piece of sh**. The one thing I love about it is the ease. Every other facet of the thing is trash, but the capability to place it to my mouth, draw, and get the nicotine I desire is nice. I've been using 200W Kangertech mod for 2 years with rebuildables and tanks for some time now, but I feel as if I'm past the cloud chasing. I simply want a tank and mod that will deliver exactly what I want: nicotine, great flavor, and a long lasting coil. I'm so sick of changing coils every day and am looking to you guys for what the new technology is. Any and every recommendation will be appreaciated as I'd like to pull the trigger on something new asap. Thanks in advance!

- Mike

The only tank that can last for me is the Arctic, and even then I'm replacing the coils after about 7 days or so. The TFV goes burnt or gross after about 40 hours. I use 50/50 juice at 6mg.

The Digiflavor Siren is an MTL RTA with great flavor, and it is extremely easy and forgiving. The building & wicking is the easiest of any RTA I've tried. Coils and wicks last a very long time. I probably switch out the wicks not more than once every two weeks, and usually they last longer than that. The coils can last for months. If you use the 22 mm Siren, and have enough wick in the channels, you won't have issues with leaking or weeping, either. I have never had a dry hit with it either. It's very reasonably priced as well, usually selling for $25 - $35. Check out our thread if you are interested.

If you want something even easier, that also performs like a dream, look at the Joyetech Ego One tank with the CLR coils. The flavor is good, the drop in replacement coils last forever, and can be rewicked and rebuilt easily. There's no leaking and it performs like a dream. The most expensive of these tanks is the Mega and it sells for $10 - $15. Check out the thread if you are interested in this one.

eGo ONE tank series – CLR coil

I am stocking up on both the Siren and the Ego One Megas for the vapocalypse.

As far as mods go, my favorites are all small, one battery mods. I love the Eleaf Pico, the Lost Vape EPetite dna60, the Sbody Macro dna40, the Snow Wolf Mini, and the VR Stride 80 watt.

Hope you find the perfect gear for you!

What flavors do you vape? Some have more sugars in them than others and tend to gunk up coils quite a bit faster. I dont have much advice in the way of tanks as I use RDAs exclusively. I would usually recommend giving them a shot but if you dont like the hassle of changing out coils every couple of days then I seriously doubt you'd want to deal with dripping every couple of draws lol. @mongo74 usually has some pretty solid advice when it comes to gear.

Longevity of the coil will be based on the power used and the juice vaped. Sweeter juices simply clog coils faster. Running sweeter juices at high power with clog coils even faster. For pure simplicity something like a pod mod might work such as a MyJet which you can fill with whatever juice you like. Whether it will offer you the flavor you want would be for you to determine.

Basically what Eskie stated. If you want something for nicotine delivery and not clouds bro, clouds, The MyJet and even the Juul are excellent products to get your nicotine fix. The MyJet has that added benefit: use your own juices! I'm not 100% sure, but I believe you have to use specially formulated nicotine in pods (nicotine salts if I remember correctly)

Honestly, if you are replacing coils at that fast a rate, it is more likely than not excessive sweetener in the juice you are vaping. If you're DIY'ing, theres a possibilty you're adding way too much flavoring or sweetener. I know, you can vape coils lower than their rating at levels you are comfortable with, but I can say this until I'm blue in the face and someone will disagree: if you run some coils below their recommended wattage, they will gunk up at a faster rate. (I should know, I did this with Cleito 120 .16ohm coils by repeatedly running them below 75w)

Which brings up a suggestion: A Cleito tank (standard, not 120) It also has the added benefit of coming with (if you buy the kit) a rebuildable deck. Btw, an excellent flavor chasing rebuildable (which usually outclass any drop in coils) the Geekvape Medusa RDTA. It's that conical shape in the top cap...almost any tank/rba with that bell shaped internal cap will concentrate flavor, and this one definitely does. I would also recommend Temperature Control with stainless steel coils. I think I've had the Medusas just over a week now and I'm still on the same cotton and coils (and the cotton is still clean and white-ish lol)

If it HAS to be a tank with drop in coils, and you prefer mouth to lung hits, there's the Aspire Nautilus 2. You'd be vaping between what....15 and 30w depending on the coil you install. Haven't heard too much about it yet tbh. Best of luck in your search! Hope we helped a bit. :)

A ton of awesome information here, guys, thanks so much. I regularly have my mod at 42 watts, and use a pretty sweet juice. I think that's probably why my coils get so grimey so quickly. After that first comment, I thought I was doing something severely wrong, but turns out that my juice is probably just too sweet. For reference, I use Blue Skeet from VapeCaviar.com. Fantastic juice with a price that is literally unbeatable, but maybe I should switch because its such a pain switching coils so often. Funny thing is, I used to vape cinnamon custard and would get annoyed at the coils burning so regularly. All I know is that I will not go back to rebuilding, that was the most awful and I did it regularly for 2 years. I will look into the myJet and Juul, but I will have to read up on what a nicotine salt even is! Sounds like some kind of drug. I miss the days of an eGo Twist with a little clearomizer being top tier hardware. Oh well.

Thanks so much for all the insight! If anyone has anything to add, I will continue to check this thread regularly.

That's quite a coincidence!! Fantastic juice, been vaping it for over a year and I love it. Glad you could give me some insight that it's probably my juice that is gunking up the coils so quickly. I'll have to go home and bust out one of my old RDAs for old time sake. Then, in two days when I'm sick of dripping I'll go back to the Arctic. Perhaps next week I'll buy the Juul or myJet, or will at least look for other viable options.

You don't HAVE to buy a new mod, but if you want an easily concealed nictotine delivery syste, either of those pod mods will work. It is a coincidence lol, but yeah, I'm a huge vapecaviar fan, and plume juice is some of the best inexpensive e-liquid out there, if not THE best. Word of caution: some of their new juices like watermalone, is kinda soapy...it literally tastes like a palmer violet mixed with palmolive lol (little dispappointed that they didn't post my review on it) and goonberries is very mild vape...not nearly as flavorful as some of their other liquids.

I'm intrigued to know why you think your coils needs changing so often. If they get gunked, pull the wick dry burn and rinse to get them good as new. A rewick and dry burn cycle once practiced should take minutes. Admittedly I use very juices with very little flavoring, but coils last me several months and usually get changed because I'm bored with them rather than because they need replacing.
Generally speaking you are always going to better off perfecting your build and technique on your existing device, rather than expecting a change in equipment to miraculously fix your problems.
