You are right about the liquid and elec. but the alcohol cuts the juice very well and it displaces the water thats in those tight little nooks and crannies. It also dries very much faster than water. Good luck on the duck hunt.

Found it!

Storm I see that you are in NW Ark. I was raised in eastern Ark but I'm very familiar with Russelville, Fayetville, Bentonville area. I worked a refueling outage at Arkansas Nuclear One, but that was eons ago lol.

You might not recognize it now Bov, it's certainly changed around here. My mother used to come up here every month to do merchandising for Nintendo in the early 90s. Now she comes up here and gets lost. Lol

Aaaaaahhh Storm, I ain't no Orinamenathologist.............. but that's a strange looking Finch in your avi

But then I've never been to Arkansas

I swear that I was just looking at that avi thinking the same thing lol

 Not a finch guys, just the way I'm feeling til my Infinity comes back. Check out the eyes!

We do this when juice gets in the switch of PCB area this can cause them to come on so flushing them cleans out the juice .
remove the batts and soak it in 90% rubbing alcohol then blow it out and let it dry for several hours so the alcohol is gone . Shaking it in alcohol helps as well .

Mike,

When you say soak in alcohol, you mean submerge the unit? You cover the push button and dial and everything with alcohol and soak it? It doesn't hurt the electronics? How long do you soak?

Thank you,
Lori

Yes that is what we do , it will not hurt the electronics as long as it is DRY !!!!! BEFORE you put the batteries back into it,.
