I recently discovered a new way to vape. Well it's the same way I used to smoke cigarettes; keeping the hit in my mouth while only inhaling a small amount off of that. I think it's the way most people smoke cigars or tobacco too. My question for you all is... what is your preferred inhalation method? Do you like to take full hits that fill your lungs and deeply inhale the vapor. Or do you prefer to hold most of it in your mouth, take a shallow breath to get some off of the top.

I go straight to lung. When I first started vaping, I did mouth to lung, but over time my body and brain learned that vaping is different than smoking, and I started to hit it directly to my lungs.

I prefer it more because of the vapor production, and the visible and physical disconnection from cigarette smoke. To me, vaping is not like smoking, it is different and better, thus deserving its own approach.

I've been vaping for 9 months and still can't do lung hits - makes me cough. My normal method is to mouth to lung - get a mouthful of vapor, then inhale while inhaling through my nose at the same time. Guess I'll never be a cloud chaser, but don't really care about that too much anyway, since I'm more about the flavor.

When I smoked I always did mouth to lung, donno why but did it that way for 40 years. When vaping if I am using a tank (CE5's, Nautalis, Protanks, %90 of my vaping) I will do mouth to lung but if I am using a dripper like my magma or TOBH I will do straight lung hits. It took about 3 months to be able to do lung hits with RDA's and realizing I cant hit anything more than 3 mg nicotine on a lung hit for any drippers. I gag if I use more than 3 mg nicotine.

What is your nicotine level? That has a lot to do with it. I take huge lung hits on 3mg....anything over that, and I cough even when taking a small hit.

Same way I smoked: mouth to lung. Although I breathe deeper on the vape. Smoking hits were always very shallow. Now I'll even do the second inhale through my mouth instead of just my nose. I like the feel of the vape on my tongue. I tried a straight lung hit on a cig as a kid and threw up. Never did it again.

I just started 24 hours ago but this is how I'm doing it too. Of course the vape juice I have is high nicotine and makes me cough pretty badly even just taking a small amount inhaled. I ordered some lower nicotine juice today. There's so much to learn I'm very overwhelmed.

i thought it was second nature to put the drip tip up one's nose, break wind and then hope some vacuum effect coincided with the pressing of the fire button.

Judging by some of the previous posts, it's becoming clear to me why i am becoming so disheartened with vaping and am thinking of returning to smoking.

Could be...started out at 18 mg, then to 12 - just went to 10 with my dyi juice. Also, my ADV has a bit of menthol in it, so that probably doesn't help. I might mix some 3 mg juice, just to try it out.
