The benefit of being from a country that speaks the international trade language [emoji14]
Not sure it's a benefit. You guys miss the opportunity of learning more than one language. Feels great walking through a bunch of foreign countries and speak the native language. I always get the W T F looks lol.

Also I'm hoping that the Innokin TC coils don't cost as much as others, I really don't want to pay $20 for 5 coils.

Eric

My assumption was that they would at least cost as much, but might cost more. All depends how much of the tech is in the tank versus the head. In the prototype video it looked to all be in the tank. But then they might figure that putting tech in the head a) makes it harder to copy b) makes it more expensive, meaning they can make more profit - they'll make far more from repeat coil head business than from one-off mod purchase and relatively infrequent tank purchases.

Also, it could be assumed that these new coils will last longer than your average coil - temp controlled, so theoretically less wear and tear and less gunk. Therefore they might want to balance out their reduced revenue in replacements versus normal heads.

That said, I still wouldn't be surprised if they're normal priced. I would however be very surprised if they're cheaper than normal coil head price!

I've noticed that with kanthal or ni200, pre made or home made, my coils gunk up pretty much the same. Different types of juices IME, contribute greatly to how funky my coils get, along with wattage and or temperature setting. For example, vape wild's "I'm on a Roll" (cinnamon roll with icing flavor) gunk the f**k out of my coils in about 2 days worth of vaping.:2c:

I've been using temperature protection for nearly all of my vaping since the first week of November and my experience is the same as yours. I have never noticed that temperature protection makes any difference whatsoever in coil gunking nor do I recall any of the experienced vapers whose judgement I trust commenting differently.

If someone is in the habit of pushing the envelope on dry hits or gets them from time to time I can see temperature protection potentially helping in that respect as far as flat-out burnt stuff on coils. However, I would not suggest that someone consider less coil gunking as a justification to use temperature protection

The number one coil "gunker" is the sweeteners used. Highly sweet liquids.....ahem.....icing flavor....ahem...... Will gunk coils up, there is just no way around that. But I wonder if setting temps lower then usual would help...say 280-290f
