Innokin iClear 30, am I missing something?

Dont forget to clean the top/bottom caps and drip tip too - they are metal and might be the source of the taste you describe.

And the little rubber/plastic cap that sits on top of the post...I think that's where some of my initial funky taste problem emanated...I changed it out as well as used a qtip to clean the inside of the top and bottom cap (there are what appear to be orings or a black "seal" of some sort in there) along with the hot water wash and dry burn and I haven't had any further issues.

The original little cap air dried and lost that smell/flavor and was usable again after at hot bath/wash and letting sit out overnight.

Iclear 30 is junk to me. It ate through a tank of juice in 4 hrs. What a waste. Wish I got a kanger protank instead. Might throw mine away tonight.

Im also a bit bummed over iClear 30. I had high hopes.

Put in some Boba's Bounty, try puffing - no taste on inhale, only on exhale :/ lots of vapor yeah, great - but where is the taste?
Half of tank is gone by trying to "break it in" so will see how goes... But as of now, bad purchase imo.

Your not missing anything .. it just doesnt work well .. It provides nice vapor, but the flavoring is horrible .. i tried it out for a bit and was extrelmely dissapointed ..

Yikes...I'm glad I found this thread, I was gonna order one next payday. The further I get into the vaping culture, the more I realize that my 'plain old' CE4+CC clearos are the best thing I've tried yet, and I'm likely to just stick with them from now on. I have 3 Vivi Nova tanks, and my e-liquids taste radically different in them. Not bad, just...different, not as good as my clearos...

so i figured out that the bad taste was a new menthol flavor i was trying out. it is now in the trash. I am still having leaking issues though. any suggestions on this. i am using 70pg 30vg liquid. When it was working and before it started leaking the vapor and th were phenomenal. if it would leak this would be the best clearo in my arsenal. Please help with this, i am desperate, i have 3 iclear 30's and can't use them at all b/c of the leaking issues.

I have three with no leaking issues. I washed out each one with just warm running water, dried them thoroughly, and did a few short dry burns on each. On one I had to nudge around the top coil wraps a little to get them to glow evenly. Using either 50/50 or 60/40 juices and they seem to be working satisfactorily. I like them better than the ViVi Novas, but prefer the ProTank overall. It did take almost a full tank of juice before the iClear 30's began working really well. Keeping my fingers crossed.

i just got my protank in today and it is the most amazing tank i have used yet. I have found out that the i clear 16 and iclear 30 atomizer heads are interchangable so i am going to see if it will work with my 1clear 16 atomizer heads. I am thinking it is my thinner juice and to much wicking power that is making the iclear 30 leak on me. will post in a bit and let you know what i find out


By the way i recomend the kanger protank to anyone who is looking for an awesome tank. great flavor and th and no leaking yet. Vapor production is amazing. it works great on my ego battery but even better on my itaste svd. Great product Kanger.

so using the iclear 16 heads in the iclear 30 tank didn't do the trick so there is another underlying issue that i am not seeing. Going to give up on the iclear 30 and just stick with my iclear 16's and kanger pro tank. To much of a headache dealing with those.

Have you modded your i30 in any way? If you are sure the head to base connection is tight and sealed well via the o-rings, and you are not overfilling it, I can't think of why yours would leak and mine hasn't leaked a drop. I even lay mine horizontal in the car for extended periods - no leaks. I've had it long enough to have disassembled/reassembled it a few times for cleaning and still no problems. Maybe there's some material/manufacturing variations from unit to unit.

I agreed.. haven't had ANY problems.. well besides slight leaking from bottom when I accidentally over-fill it.. but other than that - only great flavor & vapor.

Check the bottom head, can you see the ingraved innokin iClear sign on it? Maybe you have a fake one....
I also read somewhere that the first ones released had an issue with the bottom that leaked and innokin sent out better bottoms, that was a comment on youtube somewhere.
As for vapour production, I have found out that pulling the silicone cap a bit up so it doesn't sit tight over the wicks produces better vapour.
I've used mine for 2 weeks only but it's pretty good, no leaking either.

I agree, it eats juice fast. I don't ave any leaking problems at all with any of the 3 I have. On thinner juices I have a few drips out of the bottom if I fill close to the top 3ml line till it goes down a bit. Most of the gurgling I have found is from moisture that collects on the top of the drip tip. One of them I had to adjust the center post at the bottom and push it up a little.

I still don't know where I stand with my iClear30.

Out of the box it had the disgusting flavour, discovered it was actually absorbed from the packaging (that smelt like leather??) a 2 hour Vodka bath fixed that.

First time vaping, awesome vapour production, decent flavour. Using a Vamo at 9.5 Watts and Grizwalds Jamaican fruit punch. However less than a week later, where is the flavour?? If I run the tank real low, and then fill her up I'll get ok flavour the first few hits, then it's mega muted again.

I just ordered a new Vivi Nova as I think I prefer that, and don't want to waste any more juice on a tank that kills the flavour. It's a real shame as I like the look, the drip tip, everything about it, I just don't get why the flavour is so dull.

Also, I too experienced leakage, but only when I overfilled. You gotta watch out because that lower wick sits just below the max fill line and it's easy to get a little juice leaking there.

I think I'll give this a clean and leave it in my emergency box and switch back to Vivi's.

I have one that leaks so bad I can't use it. The wicks appear to pick up the juice and it drips out the 510 connection. Has anyone done a utube on how to fix the leaking? I don't have a spare head to play with but new out of the box it has been unusable. I have tried two different types of juice 50/50 blends with no change. The I16s I had work great whats up?

Have you tried simply changing the head? I had one that leaked more than I wanted to put up with, Changed the head and all was well. I think it is inevitable that some juice will get into the center tube of top coils but it should't be a lot unless you lay them on their side or overfill. I also find it is easy to blow out juice that gets into the center tube.

Check the bottom head, can you see the ingraved innokin iClear sign on it? Maybe you have a fake one....

Mine has CE iClear30 vw/vv and a little trash can with a X through it on the very bottom/ battery base.
It works awesome and taste great. I never cleaned it and it has no metal flavor. As long as I don't fill it past the fill line it doesn't give me any problems. I love the thing !
However, I have notice difference in flavor and smoke production with different atomizers. I've been using Clouds of Vapor Menthol Juice but at the local vapor shop I was sampling some other menthols. The shop provides cotton stuffed heads to try different juices. The juice I bought from the shop smoked and tasted fantastic with the small cigarette sized atomizer. Once I got home and filled the iClear with the same juice it tasted and smoked different. My clouds of vapor and my iClear30 are a perfect match.

Pretty decent vape and NO LEAKING whatsoever.
Only beef I have is the tip is metal and not replaceable, but other than that , after rebuilding, it works really nice
and good flavour after adding a flavour wick Kanger T2 style.
Rebuild is a breeze , very similar to ViVi nova , actually this is a mix of ViVi and Kanger T2.
