If you want to see true lipo torture, U-tube Liveforphysics and lipo. I know him from an E-bike forum and he has access to a lot of extra cells. I remember one where he used a front end loader to pound on a lipo pack :w00t:

Edit: I seriously have a man crush on this nut job

ok :), well for starters - does anyone know a good place to start looking for one - good price, coupons etc. 2. which tank/atomizer is this best one for this device? the whole adjustable ohms, watts and voltage are new to me - didnt have all the back in the day lol. From what i see the "SUB G" tank that the MVP comes with on some sites has a pretty big hole for the mouth piece... where I am used to a "510 juicebox" mod which has a regular cigarette tip on them. so do all these tanks have tips you can buy for them or no? Would the aspire nautilus mini work with the mvp? I guess ill leave it here for starters. Thanks!

1. From a previous post of mine: I ordered my second MVP 60w, this time the full kit with the iSub G. I got it from E Cigarette | Buy Electronic Cigarettes Online | E Juice - Mt Baker Vapor they have a good rep here and the kit with the 11% discount (beefcake11) was only $65.96! I paid extra for the shipping, which would have been free but I wanted it faster so I paid $6.25 to get it quicker. The total with shipping was only $71.21!

Shipping would have been free but I wanted it faster. I did do a test if you go back a few pages to see how long it would last on a full charge for me, it was 4 days I think with an average of over 200 puffs a day. I did updates for a week and I'm almost at my week 2 update. My first I ordered from forum contributor/sponsor My Vapor Store www.myvaporstore.com, I paid a little more but it shipped faster. Mt Baker Vapor is well respected here so I felt comfortable ordering from them this time as MVS was out of stock.

2. I've used the Aspire K1 (with a 510 adapter), Nautilus (Nautilus Mini is just a smaller tank), and the original iSub and all have worked great. I'll get my 2nd MVP 60w in kit form that I just ordered that comes with the iSub G tomorrow hopefully. The iSub is my favorite by far. Even though I thought I wouldn't like the big drip tip/mouth piece over my Aspire's I'm happy with it and actually like it more!

3. iSub G has a removable mouthpiece that will fit any 510 size tip (I think that is the correct nomenclature for tip size).

If you have any more questions I'll try to answer them tomorrow as soon as possible. Hope this has helped!

Yup I agree. I do some subohming since tanks are now out but the majority of time it's high Ohm low wattage.

Welcome to the Tootle Puffers Club, VapieDan. :)

LiPO has a better discharge curve, maintains voltage longer, than IMR does. It will also handle higher charge and discharge rates. It's energy density is higher than IMR. While I am well equipped with IMR, I do see LiPO becoming the standard, for vaping, in the not too distant future.

I was thinking the same thing as David. Buy one and a spare battery and you will likely get 2-3 years of rotation. When you want a replacement will they still make them and would you even want one or will we have moved on?

My guess is that we will have moved on, Paul. (Only based on our last couple of years of innovation and change)

Worst case, change the connections. LiPO usually comes with some form of bullet connection due to their high current capacity. A little soldering and you're good to go. Just don't forget to fuse them, especially in multi-cell LiPo configs.

Awesome.... bullet connection? soldering? fuse them? multi cell LiPo configs?

Somebody prime me a karto, please!

Here's my Take on things to come:

Innokin will introduce a new connection between mod an atty. TC and all that.

It will no longer work with 510.

Hardcore Vapers will laugh, say: you cant get rid of 510!!! We have thousands of dollars invested in this. It will never WORK!!!

Innokin sells 1000000 units to Vapers that dont care or know what a 510 is. Or what kind of battery it uses as long as it works.

Evolv and Yihi start modifying their boards to work with the Innokin connector.

Aspire, Kanger and others follow suit.

Hardcore Vapers will still have their boutique Tanks and Mods in 510 available because "It still is the best!!"

Rest of the world moves on.

Eric

510s may indeed go the way of the DoDo, but if so, most likely in a leisurely manner. And if they do, we'll all have to adjust to the changes. Some happily with no reference to the past, and some, as you say, kicking and screaming!

I think it prudent now tho to keep our eyes on what we can do to keep vaping alive for our lifetime, and onwards; connectors be what they will be. No?

On that note, a shameless plug. Join CASAA.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I was talking about LiPO packs used in some hand built mods when talking about bullet connectors, soldering and fuses. From what Innokin has said, they are using LiPO, lithium polymer, batteries in their newer devices like the Cool Fire 4 and the MVP.

Temperature control is the driving factor behind the need for a different battery chemistry, a different connector system and sub ohming. As temperature control exists at the moment, the only suitable wire for coils are nickel, titanium and stainless steel with stainless not being very popular. These wires produce coils well below one half ohm which requires higher power capability from the mod and the battery. Temperature control can be very effective at reducing or eliminating the production of unwanted byproducts from vaping that are potentially harmful if inhaled. It also reduces the production of the gunk that renders coils useless. Since Kanthal and nichrome don't "behave properly" for temperature control an additional sensor to determine temperature, which requires additional electrical connections, is required to use them in a temperature control mode, hence the need for a different connector that supports additional connections.

Eventually, I suspect that almost all devices will include temperature control of one sort or another. Having the FDA "protect" us makes it almost inevitable if vaping is going to remain possible.

Incidentally, I use temperature controlled mods, some high powered mods, a bunch of Innokin products and cig-a-likes so I don't identify as any one type of vapor.

ROFLMAO!! That was exactly how I felt in the "Innokin TC Mod" thread when they started talking about such things as "thermocouples" and "thermopiles"... So I simply "stopped watching" that thread.

And I agree about the possible eventual extinction of the 510... it does everything *I* need. I'll happily be a beeper in a smartphone world. ;)

Update MVP 60w- My 2nd MVP 60w was waiting for me when I got home today. My first has been stellar with no problems at all so far. It's been charged twice and I have little to report, it's just been great. Now onto the new kit that showed up today, it's black (I wanted a different color to keep them separated for personal testing) and came with the iSub G. I hate to say it but I think the G is the better tank for a few reasons.

1. You can better tell how much juice is left in the tank.
2. The air adjustment ring has some slots machined or stamped into it making it easier to adjust.
3. It holds slightly more juice, though I'm not sure if it's actually .5ml though.
4. Being able to try different tips is nice and all of mine fit very well, including a plastic vase shaped tip that didn't fit my Aspire tanks well at all (it was too loose).

Now for the one con: filling the regular iSub is easier, it has a smaller chimney. The G isn't hard but I have just a little more room to use an eyedropper on the regular iSub.

Overall the G is a better tank in my opinion. If I get another tank it will be a 2nd iSub G. I've really come to like the way all the iSubs are put together and the ease that you can switch the coil.

This will count as my weekly update for this week unless I encounter a problem, at which point I'll post another update.

haha , not much of a review of the MVP 60w
what, you bought a iSub G and a MVP came in the box… ? :lol::pervy::lol: j/k

what gets me is that Innokin has yet to offer another
EVEN ONE coil, other than the .5Ω

no 1.0> , no Ni , no Ti , no rebuildable - - sure seems odd…

I think the iSub deserves better :(

You might want to go back to page 37 at the bottom. Here, I'll save you the time-

Previous post from page 37:
Well, I got my Blue MVP 3.0 Pro 60w today with the iSub tank and I'm a little surprised by sub ohm vaping but more on that later. The MVP is easy to figure out, I'm mechanically inclined and I'm used to odd electronics. It's much nicer than it looks online, it also just feels more solid than my Eleaf. I read the book, charged it to full, and everything worked perfect. No rattle trap buttons either, and the fire button was in the goldilocks zone for me. Easy enough to fire but not too easy so as to fire while in my pocket.

I hit the local B&M while I was out and picked up some Bathtub Brewers 5mg Gold (Toffee and Vanilla, oh so delicious) and some High Voltage Resistance 6mg (Espresso and Caramel) that I already have in 12mg, it's my favorite in my Nautilus. I also have Space Jam Eclipse (tobacco, vanilla) but I was told that 12mg is too high in strength to sub so it will be my reserve for my Nautillus.

Now for sub ohm. It's a little strange at first, after two tries I figured out it's lung hit only. I'm used to my Nautilus and K1 but the iSub is so different, the flavors are more distinguishable. I started at 20w as was written on the coil and moved up in .5w increments til I hit 22.0 and that seems to be perfect. I tried going up more but the flavors started to taste a little "cooked". It really is better than my Nautilus, but not by a huge amount. The flavors are more even, that's the best way I can describe it.

Now for the only downer. I thought I had ordered the iSub G but I screwed up and ordered the regular iSub, I checked out my order and it was my fault. I don't do citrus or cinnamon so I think I'll be okay. If I want to upgrade the cool thing is the G takes the same coils of which I ordered 4 extra. I also couldn't tell but somehow I got the blue version which is okay because that matches the color of my MVP 60w.

Overall, I'm very happy. My mom did get my Eleaf 30w and two Aspire stick mods by the way, I have a VV3 that I've had for over a month that I use as a backup for home when the Eleaf needed to charge. Now I'm strictly Innokin for mods and Aspire and Innokin for my tanks. I'll probably pick up another MVP 60w when the price comes down a little, it feels so sturdy and I like the heft. Hell, I could probably use this little "brick" to protect myself.

If it wasn't for this place I'd still be using little stick batteries that barely last half a day. I would have never had the guts to even try vaping without the people here. So again, I thank you! End of post.

I've been doing updates for almost 2 weeks now. I did list the differences from the regular iSub as I saw them. Flavor, or the transmission of it hasn't changed, nor has the amount of vapor it produces from one to the other. I'm pretty new to vaping so I'm not sure what other info you'd like but if you ask me I'll do my best.

hey, I was just “razzin’ “ ya some about that particular post…

I have, been following along, reading your input about
your new magic MVP box...

I also saw the opportunity to vent about the iSub tank
only offering one coil

MVP’s R-O-C-K

but that evic vt looks like a contender

I'm really liking this combo, iSub & MVP 3.0 Pro.

hup105P.jpg

I like the iSub tank more than I thought I would, been using it between 25-30W right now. I wanted something that would produce nice flavor, and vapor at medium wattage (20-40W), and this has been great for that, welcome pairing with the mvp 3 pro. Some of my other tanks/coils aren't really good until 50-70W, which wasn't the best on the MVP battery.

The coils seem like one of the lower cost packs of coils too, I remember paying more for Kanger dual coils last year. I wouldn't mind seeing a higher ohm coil, maybe 1 ohm, and a nickel option. I will probably give rebuilding the stock coils a go to get ni200 for my temp limiting devices.

I've got an iSub G on the way, I'm sure I'll like that one too. Will probably pick up another PC version, and maybe a Coolfire IV to go with it.

lookin’ good !

I agree that is a good combo

rock solid MVP
iSub (PC) unbreakable, w/no loose (fixed) drip tip

have you attemped to rebuild the iSub Coil yet ? ? ?

I am about to take the plunge, and like you said
an MVP 60w accompanied with a Coolfire 4,
a coulpe iSubs (and maybe a SubΩTank mini)
would be about as sweet as there is…

Innokin Rules.................... ! :headbang:

ps: what's with the word "VAPOR" written on the tank
I've not seen that before... ?

Thanks, it looks better in person imo, camera phone doesn't do it justice, hah.

I haven't attempted rebuilding the iSub coil yet, but it should be possible, looks like it won't be too bad. I just picked up the iSub a couple days ago, so I'm still on the first coil, but after its worn out I'm going to give it a go.

The "VAPOR" in the pic is half of the logo of the B&M chain I bought it from, Avail Vapor, it doesn't have the iSub logo on it at all.
