Now that's a thought - higher ohms to preserve battery life. My GS Airs use 1.5 ohm coils, so that's what I'm used to running at. A few weeks ago I started vaping on Erlkonigin clones and I just automatically wrapped 1.5 ohm coils. Maybe next time I change coils I'll go up to 2 ohms and see how that affects my battery life.
It helps a bit, and I sometimes go as high as 1.8, but I guess I've just gotten used to the 1.5-1.7 builds, I seem to prefer them, so the very slight diff in battery life seems like a fair trade to me. 7 wraps, 29ga, 3/32, and I mount it pretty high for good TH. That build generally puts me somewhere between 1.65-1.7Ω; most mods will measure it to 1.7, it's just the CF4 with the x.xx ohms display shows the resolution a little more finely. Sometimes I might use 6 wraps, or 8, but neither really seems satisfactory to me; 6 wraps, and though the resistance is lower, it's just not enough wraps to make good vapor; 8 wraps, and it starts to seem just a little slow to me, have to take longer hits -- and my norm is already 4-5 secs, so that's a pretty long hit!

) What David said is very true; when I first got my Achilles, since the build deck is nearly identical to a Kayfun's (except needing longer wicks for the deep well), I built just like I do for a Kayfun -- but it made me cough, because the Achilles provides a LOT more TH, so I had to decrease from 10w to 8.5-9w, and from 10mg to 9mg, and fiddle some more with best height. Now that I've gotten used to it, I've gone back to mounting it pretty high, but I'm sticking with the lower wattage and nicotine. I think the highest I've ever needed to go with an Achilles was 9.5w, which was on an extremely gunky coil that really needed just a bit more oomph.
