I have 2 MVP 20W mods and have the same thing. But I don't really notice that one lasts longer than the other.

Nah, you're right, that .05 of a volt doesn't really make any difference -- and if the CF4 had the standard xx.x resolution, wouldn't even realize there was any difference.

Don't confuse precision with accuracy. It might show volts to the 1/100th, but only be accurate to 1/2 volt, for example.

The mods referenced each have their own, UNcalibrated volt meter. 5/100ths of a volt on those is meaningless precision. They could well be charging to the same point. Or not. :)

All I know for sure is that the 2 I alternate days with, the red and pink, at the end of the day when I go to bed, it's still around 3.7v (or more) -- after 14-16 hrs of use, not using any other mods all day. That's just phenomenal.

Of course, my resistance is high-ish (1.7Ω) and my wattage quite low -- 9w. I'm going to try an experiment using 28ga instead of 29ga, 8 wraps instead of 7, and the resistance should end up about 1.5Ω; to offset the slower heating of the 28ga, I thought I'd turn the power to about 10.5w -- and see how the battery life runs then. Should still be ample, but might be about 3.5-3.6 volts, at the end of the day, instead of +3.7v.

I just lowered my nic level to 1.5mg, I started out at 24mg in May 2015 then started dropping pretty steady ever since. My lungs haven't felt this good since I was 18. I ordered some non nic e juice to mix half and half with my 3mg stuff as mt baker vapor doesn't go lower than 3mg unless it's zero nicotine. Nobody can tell me that vaping is useless or doesn't help people quit, I'm proof even if it's only one person. Hopefully, sometime next year I'll be down to zero nicotine:)

A big thank you to the folks here at ECF for all the insight and patience!

Hello, Newb here. Just wanted to ask a good place to get replacement coils for the Isub G online. If this is not the appropriate place; please excuse the post and point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

Mike

An ideal place to ask actually. A quick google shows VaporDNA is probably best price for a pk of 5, $8.99 - iSub Replacement Coil by Innokin (Pack of 5)

And BTW, WELCOME!

I'm really glad the CF4 has the internal LiPo -- it lasts for a full day (14-16 hrs) and then some -- longest I EVER got out of an 18650 was 6-8 hrs.

This has been my experience as well. I have been using my first 18650 with an evic mini and it feels like im charging it all the time. I only have to charge my cf4 every other day maybe, and my disrupters every two or three days. My mod with the 18650 needs charged at least once a day if not twice.

Replaceable battery doesn't mean it lasts forever. And 18650s come in a variety of mAh ratings, in addition to the various CDR ratings.

After many charge-discharge-recharge cycles, effective mAh will decrease. True of any lithium battery. Comparing a new CF4 to an old 18650 isn't really a fair comparison...

I still have a couple of 2000 mAh rated 18650s that when new would last a lot longer than they do now, at over 2 years old. When new, they'd easily last me through a tank or two (Kayfun size). Now, after many cycles, not enough oomph to make it through one. But I don't have to toss the mod away or break out the soldering iron to fix the problem...

I have to admit to chuckling about the battery life discussions, whether Innokin related or otherwise. I used to tootle puff and get days out of batteries, Innokin and 18650. Now, having converted to direct inhales, I'm lucky to get a full day out of anything, even the 1000mah, 3s, LiPO pack in my DNA200, tested out at just over 11 watt hours.

Aside from my stupid tetchy lungs, that's really why I stick with tootle puffing, it's more economical both on juice and battery life. @chopdoc recently brought up the point that my lungs have been healing for over a year now, and I probably could vape a lot less conservatively because of it -- but I don't wanna; I'm a tightwad from the word GO. :D And I really like that I'm not having as much trouble with my asthma these days; don't wanna go back to challenging them with every puff. :thumb:

According to the Witch Doctor/Soothsayer I see my lungs have cleared completely since I started vaping, about three and a half years now. I was always on the quest for a thicker cloud, not necessarily a bigger cloud, to get the same feeling as a cigarette. That lead to dual coil stuff like the iClear series, then Foggers. They were all useable with tootle puffing, but I wanted more. That lead to modifying air flow and "bigger and better" toys to go with them. It's a lucky thing I DIY. Currently, between my wife (tootle puffer) and me (whomper) I end up mixing a half liter a month. Actually, the bigger RBA tanks are cheaper in the long run since they're so easy to rebuild, especially with TC, Ti and rayon.

I've thought for a while that the smoking technique I used for the last 25-ish yrs of smoking was actually quite similar to the best way of vaping -- shallow inhale, exhale via both mouth and nose. When I switched to ultra-lights from lights, it was because I had gotten to the point that every drag sent me into a coughing fit, so not only did I drop to the ultra-lights, I had to learn to inhale a lot less deeply, just to keep from coughing up a lung and a half with every drag. Any "normal" person would no doubt have just quit at that point... but no, not me, I was DETERMINED to smoke. :D

I know it didn't take me long at all to learn the slow, shallow inhale, mouth & nose exhale, when I started vaping, and vaping has always provided me with a lot more of the part I need most/like best -- the throat hit -- ultra-lights don't give you a lot of that, though the Virginia Slim ultra-lights provide more than any other brand of ultra-lights I tried. That was one of the main things, actually, that got me to make the full switch; after 2-3 wks of vaping, I realized that my cigarettes just had almost no TH at all, compared to my vape. It was only about another week till I finally laid the cigarettes down and left them there.

Thank you i will go and search them out right meow. My 18650s are about two weeks old so i dont think its because they are old. @AndriaD i am right there with you on all the reasons to tootle puff. I do not want to go thru 15mls or more a day or blow huge clouds. Im all about flavor and TH and small inhales out through the nose. I smoke misty ultra lights so i think i can relate to the struggle.

Yep, flavor and TH, and just enough vapor to exhale so it still feels "familiar" -- cigarettes don't generate much "cloud" -- during the time I was transitioning, I actually sat and watched my exhales, just to know how much of a cloud I was generating -- it really wasn't all that much in volume, just in stink. :D And I would truly hate fogging up my house and/or vehicle... and my husband would hate it even more!!! ;)
