So after reviewing some mods I really wanted to go with the MVP v2. I still really want it but I feel I should get something with replaceable batteries first Incase regulations step in and I can't pick one up later. I want something reliable strong and with replaceable batteries to start off with. I keep reading reviews on the svd but none are really consistent except batteries dying early which seems to me to be a fact of the battery model itself. Any other suggestions are open I was looking at the vamo but I don't want to deal with the threading or having to use an adapter to keep the threading safe. And before anyone says it because I know they will. Provaris are away out of my price range at the moment. If I ever have the cash together and they're still available that and a Reo will be first on my list but as of now I have the budget of a jobless 22 year old trying to get his life together and trying to get a reliable mod a decent amount of nic and some pro tanks with lots of heads to rebuild. Maybe some real rbas if I'm lucky

I'm in the same boat, I'm looking at graduating from my ego into an APV and while I am employed I certainly do not have the budget for a Provari, much to my chagrin. I have also been considering the Innoken SVD for a number of reasons. First off, at $37 or so it falls well within my budget (indeed, the batteries and charger will outprice the mod itself since I don't want to skimp on them). Second, it has ego and 510 threading which gives me the ability to connect just about anything to it without the need for an adapter. It's got all of the features one should expect from an APV and it's stylish to boot.

I'd like to sift through some more reviews and personal experiences from people who own/have tried them before I bite the bullet, though. So far it looks promising, but I prefer to buy once/cry once so I'm holding out for a little bit longer.

Pretty much. Been threw this already lol. Except there's allot more choices these days. I like the look and most of what I've read about it if just want to hear from someone that's had one for awhile not just a couple weeks or acouple months

I own the SVD and it's my primary APV. I've not bought anything else since as it pretty much does everything I need it to do and it's been absolutely reliable.

I use protected and unprotected batteries (cheap and higher end) and I've not had any issues with them draining too soon. I only use the 18650 battery in mine as that's what I have the most of right now, but one battery lasts either all day or 3/4 of the day depending on how heavy I vape.

No threading issues, no chip issues, no airflow issues, etc. It just works.

A little over 6 months now in total. I originally bought it because I liked the look, but functionality wise, it runs my 1.3-2.2 ohm coils and the buttons are right where they need to be.

There's no crazy 5-10+ button clicks to switch from voltage to wattage (hold power plus +/- to switch between the two) and only 3 clicks to power on and off. It's simple and the tube threading is good to go.

I have tightened my Protanks a little too much in the past (on accident, not paying attention) but that didn't do anything and the 510 threads on the SVD are still in perfect shape.

You know, a mechanical mod might be a better hold-out vape, in case of the vapocalypse. Instead of something that the board can fry on, why not something with no board to fry?

I was thinking about that to. At least one of each but I like my vv and haven't built any coils yet so dunno how well sub ohms is gonna do me

You don''t have to start with sub ohm. You can get decent performance on a micro coil. Micro coils are really easy to build, after watching a few videos. The second one I built was perfect. I can fit a 10 wrap coil in a protank head, safely, for about 1.5 ohms.

Love my SvD !! It looks like a light saber and a set of batteries last me all day. You can get a nice clone for $37 on fast tech if you don't mind the wait. Mine is a clone and I have no issues with it. Adjusting the voltage for different attys is nice for the flavor.

Ill probably pick up a mechanical next. I was looking at a k100. I plan on doing microcoils. Cant remember the thread but a vertical microcoil with cotton arround it will be my first attempt. I just needa get some kanthal.

Awesome to hear. Im to impatient to wait on fasttech with all the hold ups. But by the time i have the cash well see where there at maybe it will have passed by then

Actually the Innokin MVP and SVD devices sold by Fast Tech are the real deal, they are not clones. I myself own an SVD and although I don't use it much because I prefer mechanicals, I will attest to its quality. Very well made and a great performer. Only 2 downsides for some would be that it really does look like a light saber so you might get odd looks when you are out and about. Mine does burn through batteries but even that isn't a big issue as long as you are aware of it and always have spare batts with you.

Lol I get strange looks anyway. Glad everyone's agreed on the quality. I always carry a spare battery with me so it's not a huge deal as long as it's not running them down like crazy. Durability is my main concern

Just to note, you won't be running sub-ohm on the SVD, only on a mechanical. The SVD's built-in circuit protection will kick in and shut it off if you drop below 1.3 ohms. It's ohm reader will read lower ohms, but that's the extent .

RBA's are fine . Just keep it to 1.3+ and you'll be good to go on the SVD. If you do happen to venture into sub-ohm, make sure you get a mechanical and make sure you know your amp limits. Sub-Ohm can be dangerous if you don't know what your coil is pushing and what your battery can push without going too high.
