Hey folks!

I've had my MVP 2.0 for 2 days now and it seems right when I get to 725-750 puff counter mark the battery just dies. I noticed a day after I had it the battery would go from green to yellow and a very short life on red. Charged it until the light went out and today I didn't even notice the light going to yellow. Battery died at 729 on the puff counter. I've read from some people were getting 800 on the puff counter before they charged but didn't mention if the battery just flat out died or if that's where they charged it.

Is this normal or is there an issue with the MVP? It concerns me as I ordered a second MVP as a backup from the same place and I'm not sure if this is normal use or an issue with the MVP.

I don't set the voltage and just vape at 9 watts. I use 3 different clearomizers:

Protank II - 2.2Ω coil
Mini Protank V2 - 2.2Ω coil
iClear 30 (Not sure what ohm the coil is on it)

I have been using the iClear 30 a lot today though.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

9 Watts seems a bit high, which COULD account for a somewhat shorter battery life...
BUT....MOST folks (myself included) get several DAYS use from the v2 battery before it needs recharging...
Did you FULLY CHARGE the unit when you first got it????
Re: the puff counter....If you "chain-vape", and don't allow for "breaks" between puffs, this MAY be messing up the battery protection circuitry, forcing the battery to discharge at a higher rate than normal (just a guess here, though!!;)).....
Never used my iClear 30 that came with my v2 (like you, I use PT2's and Minis....)....I've heard they "eat" juice FAST!!:D
When you get the second unit..FULLY CHARGE IT out-of-box!! Then, see if IT reacts the same as the first unit....
Good Luck!
Happy (vaping) Trails!

I'll try adjusting the watts down to 8 and see if I still like the hit on it. I never topped off the charge when I got it, I just started vaping but I'll definitely top off the second one and see how it acts.

Thanks for the info on that, I wasn't aware that you had to top it off since it appeared to have a full charge (and nothing was mentioned about that in the manual).

I used mine right out of the box and haven't had any issues with the battery. I've yet to even see my battery turn yellow - I usually vape for 3-5 days and just eventually plug it in. It has never just randomly turned off.

With all of that said, I tend to vape at a lower wattage, so I'm not sure how that would impact the battery life. Sorry to hear that you're having issues!

You might want to switch to a low Ohm vaporizer, that way you can get the same temperature at a lower volt/watt setting.

Lower ohms actually pulls more amps (current) from the battery, draining the battery more than high ohms do.

Lower ohm = less resistance = more current allowed.

I used my MVP2 right out of the box and got 1,000 puffs before I charged it. It wasn't dead but red and I was using an EVOD with a 2.4Ohm head at 7.5 watts. Since then I've been using a Mini Protank 2 at 7.5 watts with a 2.5Ohm coil and I get between 750 and 900 puffs before I decide to charge it. I've never had it completely die on me.

Thank you all for the information gang! Talked to an Innokin dealer here in today and I got all set up with wattage along with 120ml of new juice (which I like a LOT better than previous juices).

I'm a happy vapor today and not regretting the purchase of a second MVP. I'll be ecstatic when my next order gets here so I can start building my own coils!

Thank you once again!

How long do your guys' stay at 4.2 fresh off the charger? I just fully charged mine and only have 23 puffs on it and it's down to 4.1. It doesn't seem to stay at 4.2 for long. Just wondering if this is normal? Also curious how many puffs you guys get per .1v of battery life. My friend got over 900 puffs on his and was only down to 3.7v. I am just paranoid that mine doesn't last as long as it should. I have never let it go below 3.9v without topping it off some though. From what I've read li ion batteries are fine to top off or partial charge and you're actually better off charing them before they completely die.

Li Ion batteries rarely stay at 4.2 for long, and the discharge curve is not completely straight, so you can't really judge on how many puffs per voltage drop. (not to mention, no one puffs the same each time).

The MVP is very good at managing the battery life. It is very conservative in that it turns red around 3.6 to 3.5 volts. Battery university considers a 100% depth of discharge as running down to 3.0 volts. The MVP will never allow you to go there.
