I was really excited to see the videos and I too hope that there will be an option to upgrade the existing provari. But I'm not really concerned if it's a whole new device. If it is a new device I'm sure I'll buy one but the ones I have now do exactly what I want/need them to do. I can't imagine they'll ever be really obsolete. Some things just stand the test of time and the Provari is definitely one of them.

This is right up there with the announcement that the Reo's were getting new contacts LOL

Watching the video actually got me a little more excited to see what the next product's going to be.

I got the impression that it's NOT an incremental improvement over the 2.5 - rather, that it's an entirely new product.
Didn't it seem that they are gearing up to be able to produce the new model, while still making the current one? That implies that it will be substantially different, and they project a demand for both. That's kind of interesting...

That was my take on the new product as well. I've said before that adding more features to the existing ProVari doesn't make business sense, as the existing product sells well and adding more to it would require a redesign of the board.

Is anyone else a little surprised they produce as many as they do? I mean let's face it, they have a very niche market, who has they do share with a lot of competition. Congrats to them for sure!
I wasn't surprised. Seems like half of ECF owns a ProVari and the other half wishes it owned a ProVari (with a vocal minority that refuses to believe).
...One question...how come no one vapes at the facility??? Except Phil, of course ;)
I imagine the employees are beta testers for the new V3 ProVari's. Hence the absence of personal vaping devices from the video. Also:

Employees smoke electronic cigarettes while on break at the ProVape Inc. facility in Monroe, Washington, U.S., on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.

What I got out of that video was that the next Version (3) ProVari WILL NOT be sub-oHm capable. The owners seemed to have very strong feelings in that regard. The other impression I got is that it will be tiny. If he was in fact, pulling a prototype out of his shirt pocket with an atty attached, it was very, very short. Makes me wonder if the circuit board was moved next to the battery instead of above it as in previous designs.

Edit: the other thing I got out of the video was that my 4 year old V1 ProVari was "hand built." :D

This. They value safety and reliability above all else. No matter what I just want a flat top cap and I'd be happy with it.

Tiny sounds like a good prediction. I may be wrong, of course, but it seems like the minis are selling better than the full size. People appear to like the small form factor, which they can make longer with additional components.

Of course it is. I read it in the "Prophetica Provarinati." You don't have a copy? :)
It also predicts that the new ProVari will be brought forth upon the land in less than a year's time, as revealed in a vision to the great Busardo.

The "Scroll of the silver dragon" which claimed to be the revelation of the V3 is a heretical document, and all copies of it are to be burned.

Well, in terms of safety and chip quality, I can't really imagine them releasing anything else that would be a major upgrade from what they have, without increasing the amp limit which in turn would increase the variety of ohms you could use with the Provari. I can run a 1.1 ohm microcoil at 4 volts and get pretty massive clouds if wicked properly on an RDA. Any higher of an amp limit, and you'd be able to sub ohm.

I'm not sold on the sub-ohm idea. With their focus on safety, I think there would be too much of a risk for customer error. I still believe their target customer is an average vaper who wants a well-made, easy to use, quality product. The warranty and being made by a US company are further incentives. Outside of the forums and vape meets how often do you see people vaping sub-ohm? More people vape eGo-type batteries than anything else. If people want to vape sub-ohm, they get a mechanical. What would motivate ProVape to enter an already saturated market which is limited to begin with.

Despite things we would like to see, like a bottom-feeder, I just don't envision it happening. What kind of device would take a chunk out of the eGo market?

Hello everyone! First let me say that I was absolutely thrilled to bring this video to you and very appreciative for them allowing it! I so happy that so many of you enjoyed it!

It's killing me that I would probably answer most of your questions about the device, but I need to respect their wishes in keeping things hush hush for now.

I think most will really like the new P3 and some of the innovations it contains. I'm happy to say that it remains in-line with the core concepts and philosophies at ProVape.

Those that require a GI2 to make clouds at 100 watts will need to continue to look elsewhere. :)

Nice of you to post here!
And kudos, for a really well done interview and tour video! I think we all understand that you have to respect the agreement not to disclose features pre-launch. People trust you - vendors and consumers - and that's earned.
