Ok, she's built and set aside to soak. Wicks cut from makeup rounds, coil pre-wrapped on inner tube from an old clearo, (about 2.2 mm diameter), then installed with a needle through it that fits down through the slots. Six wraps of 32 ga. and twisted legs is giving me 3.8 ohms. I was shooting for 3 so I miscalculated on that lol.

It's great! Since I'm using the rounds, I figured an hour and a half should be long enough. I dripped in three drops for good measure and went to vaping. I rechecked my ohms and it was showing me 2.7, which is more like what I was expecting... I must have not had it making a solid connection when I checked it earlier. I have it set at 3.8 volts and it's great.

My Drunker Tank has been processed through the main sort facility in town, just a couple miles away. I should receive it today or Monday. :rickroll:

I wonder how big the packaging is. I hope it fits in my little apt. mailbox.

I hope you get it today! Do your packages have another stop (another PO) before they get sorted and delivered?

Where'd you order from? Was it the only thing you ordered at the time?

It has one more P.O. to go through before it gets to me.

I ordered the Drunker Tank, some Kanthal, and one T2 - from SureVapes.

Dang... I know that situation! It seems these days I know which PO/location is the "last stop" for FedEx, USPS, AND UPS! Maybe the tracking just needs to update! That happens to me sometimes.

I can't tell you about the packaging there. Mine came in one of those bubble-wrapped envelopes, but I ordered only the drunker, from another vendor. Wish I could give you some encouraging words there!

JD I noticed I can't get a solid ohm's reading with my multimeter using the battery connections. So I always check the ohms at the grommets after installation of the coil and get accurate readings. I'm thinking it's because the connector base is stainless steel.

I think I'm going to wrap some non resistant legs on my next build because my favorite 33 awg kanthal is very high ohm's (1.46ohms per inch) and each leg alone is half an inch. So the legs alone take up one inch of wire and a 1.8ohm coil of my 33 AWG is 1.23 inches. I'm thinking the best way to splice the wires is after installing the coil in the cup. I'm excited to learn and build a mini wire welder from a camera flash.

My 6/7 wrap ended up north of 3ohm on my Drunker. Far too high! Made a 6/7 on my A7 and it was around 2, maybe a little lower. The coils on the A7 might have been a little smaller, but not 2ohm smaller!

I see the need for NR legs at this point. I'm going to give it a shot as well, but I think I'm going to try twisting. Welding.. well, let's just say I'm not mechanically inclined!

It'll probably be next weekend before I get to try it though. Silver wire hasn't shipped yet!

I'll be sure to throw up a few pictures for THAT process as well, I'm sure some folks here would be interested. Mack, I'd like to see yours as well, once you've got all that wire welding figured out! Brave soul!

Has anyone successfully re-wicked this thing without recoiling?

Or how about .. How do I get coil gunk out of the top part without re-wicking? There's little pieces of ash/gunk all over the place! (not in the tank/juice though, just the top part)

EDIT: Can't dry burn with cotton, or else I would have tried. :p

Dang! Mine shipped the 29th, and still no indication of where it's at, except it proccessed thru Trenton, NJ on the 29th. Should be here today tho, I would think.

Mine from surevapes is "out for delivery" too. Free shipping and fast!

All I can tell you is that mine has totally lived up to everything Donna, Adeline, and Mack has said about theirs. If I had to go to one device then I would choose the Drunker because it does it all.

I was thinking about that last night, and I couldn't think of any way to do it that would be satisfactory. I think the best thing to do is just squeeze out as much juice as possible and replace the wick.
