Also, the bottom center is adjustable with a screwdriver. You might try screwing it in just a tad. It becomes a balancing act to have it low enough to make contact with your mod but not so low as to lose contact with the head. I also like to just tighten every thing firm but not super tight.

It's also possibility that you had a short that was keeping your pv from firing, and you cleared it when pulling out the center pin a little. I recommend not using nail clippers or scissors to trim the wire. Just rock it back and forth until it snaps flush.

On a similar note, make sure that your wire doesn't get pushed back inside when you put the pin in. It could hit the walls and short.

That looks ... interesting.

Is there no wick going down into the tank?? I don't GET it. lol

I should have been more clear on that lol. My setup is just for dripping as I don't want to do any drilling. In fact I plug the holes with cotton to keep juice from running down in the tank.

I know you have plenty of drippers already, and I'm not saying you'll even like it better, but the spin-E is different enough to be worth a try. Taste and vapor is very similar to the 804. Gunk build up is slower for some reason and, of course, cleanup is a breeze.

Awesome tips JD1, Adeline. Will keep those in mind next time I play around with it.

I also noticed that the taste felt.... kinda off. Like "Bleh!". Not sure what was causing it, could have had Volts set to high, may not have cleaned it well enough.

Regardless, I did have fun goofing with it!

What's your wicking material? Describe the setup for us. Or ... pictures!

Sorry at work no pics, but super simple! Using the replacement coils. http://www.discountvapers.com/drunker-replacement-coils-3-0ohms/

I figured I would start with these just to get a feel for things, then once comfortable start building my own.

Silica always tastes weird to me! I have no idea about the replacement wicks (does it need torching? is it the right width for the coil?) that you have there. How long did you let it soak?

Sorry I can't be of more help.

My understanding is they are pretty much just drop in and go. No need for torching. Could be the wicks though I can't tell with like a Vivi Nova. These may be different. I let it soak for around 10 minutes.

Anyways it's all good! Lots of helpful tips here and having fun working through it. I have a solid working solution I like now (Tank Carto Provari), so messing around with something new is fun.

torch the silica until it turns white ;) i always torch fiber or silica cos they have chemicals that came with it... the taste will be great after that also heat up the coils too before setting them up, they too have some coatings :vapor:

Folks (like me) that don't do that always claim that silica has a break in time lol.

OK THANKS i am going to try this Thanks again how much of a gap did you leave when you raped your wire and I am also going to use
32GA kanthal A-1 wire thanks

You can either wrap around something (like a small nail, or like I do, a tiny screwdriver .. like one that comes in a glasses repair kit, or with an RBA haha) and feed the cotton through...

Or you can wrap around your wick with something extra, like a paperclip (hold the paperclip and the yarn together and wrap around it all). The paperclip method helps hold it steady while you wrap.

That's up to you! I started with the paperclip method and moved on to the screwdriver method... once I got the perfect screwdriver! :D

And that's the same wire I've been using recently. I love that stuff!
