Instead of batts and atties, why not 'snap & vape' ?

haha!

next you'll want to find a way to vape your hops;)

Why are people talking about putting nicotine in those? I want caffeine in my ejuice. If those work, caffeine can be absorbed through the lungs. Does anybody know the vape temp for caffeine? Is caffeine sold in pure liquid form?

But....... only slightly habit forming/ doesn't have nicotine sort of...what does that mean ?? And cool and that is the only thing that matters....this ad is something that I personally don't want in the same conversation as our E-cigs.
Didn't anyone else read the last paragraph on the ad ???.... To me it says 'here kiddie-kiddie' !!!!

And yes..it reminds me of those hand warmers....ugh...the chemicals used to heat !!! not inhaling that !

I'm 99% sure alcohol can't be absorbed through the lungs, but if anybody figures out how. They better let it be known that they were the first to figure it out, and set up a paypal account. I'll be giving them some money for that.

It can be. Other illicit chemicals can be used in PVs as well. I know at least one supplier that sells (legal) synthetic canaboid juice.

Are you sure? I was under the impression that nicotine has a higher vape temp than room temperature, when heated it will turn into a gaseous form that can be inhaled, alcohol on the other hand, reverts to a gaseous state at or below room temperature, that is why it evaporates. Heating it would cause it to combust, and the chemical will be broken down and used as fuel.

I looked into the other thing you mentioned a while ago, and there are a couple problems, one is that the vape temp for ... is higher than nicotine, so it is difficult to properly vape, the bigger problem is that vg/pg doesn't hold very much ... so you would have to vape a very large quantity of liquid to feel any effect. Feel free to correct me if there has been any changes in that area, but just because something has been done, does not mean it has been done well.

I know alcohol inhalation devices are banned in a few states so it has to work.

As to the other, it's actually easier to do with the real thing. Just make isohash... The problems you describe are still applicable to the legal variants though.

Yes, it could be done, but not with the vg/pg solution. It would take a higher temp, but it would have to be the standard oil form of the substance so a much smaller volume of liquid would be required. I imagine it would gunk up your atty pretty fast though. The new cartos might be the way to go if you wanted to try that. They'd probably last longer without gunking up, but I'm not sure how you'd address the heat issue. There are plans about for vaporizers specifically designed for this application. Don't look anything like a cigarette though. LOL.

The more I ran it over in my head, the more I came to the same conclusion even before reading your post. Oil has to be the key, but it will gunk up current attys and cartos. Although the new cartomizers still have wicks, and they are buried deeper in the device, and harder to clean, so I think that would actually be a step backwards.

Joke or not, it is an idea I'd love to see our resident mod gurus explore.

Think about it:

Instead of waiting for a battery to recharge, you take a few seconds to give the device a hit of lighter fluid.

A tiny device could give you big performance. Since trading electricity for heat is pretty inefficient (in terms of electricity storage space required), we can't get super hot vaping (LR or HV) from a tiny PV. If the heat source were burning lighter fluid, we could get that. Think how long a lighter the size of a BLU would burn. Now think how long an actual BLU battery would support vaping at 5V (or more). I think the lighter would come out least even.

Instead of an atty that will die with little or no warning someday, we'd have an easily cleaned combustion chamber for the actual vaporization.

I don't know. There are obviously engineering problems to deal with but I'm surprised that someone hasn't (or at least not that I've seen) come up with a PV that's basically a cigarette lighter with a vaporization chamber on it.

Someone's already made a Bic lighter-sized variable-voltage mod that produces 0 to 7.4V without all the nastiness of internal combustion: Little Sister Variable Voltage
