I had to visit the local hospital's ER earlier this week and I think the visit may have created a couple more vapers.
As I'm answering questions, I was asked if I was a smoker. I replied I was but "not really now". (Yeah, I know.) After getting the "what does that mean?" look I pulled my M401 out of my coat pocket, broke it down, and showed how it worked.
Both were very interested and sniffed for smoke. Because they were both smokers and couldn't light up at the hospital, of course, they loved the idea and I ended up writing down the e-cig forum web address, as well as that of Cignot and LiteCigUSA.
When I left they were both anxiously planning on visiting here and checking things out once their shift was over. Ya just never know where the next vaper's coming from. Maybe they're here now. I hope so.

I'm a respiratory therapist at a major hospital in Austin, TX. I have shown my e cig to several of my patients with COPD. Only the ones who currently smoke and have no intention of quitting. I always ask them to not mention it to anyone else for fear I might lose my job. They all (100%) have ordered one brand of ecig or another.

Update! Update!
Had to go back in to the same ER tonight (kidney stones problem, yech!) and ended up explaining my 510 and vaping to a different nurse. Also gave her a card with the forum web address and info. That's three very high interests in two visits. Yeh us!

Good job Cliff! spread the word!

Why can't you use the PV at work, at least on your break? I worked E.R. in a major hospital for over 35 years, and toward the end it was hard to get a smoke, had to go outside away from the building. I can remember smoking in our break room, now I can understand why the fuss, but golly gee a PV. Glad I retired, when times were at least reasonable. To much of YOU Can't do this and YOU can't do that.
Well I said my piece. Here's do another puff on our PVs.

There are converts now at both of our local hospitals!

I have ended up vaping in both ERs (demonstrations) due to staff that asked how I quit smoking. All the staff except for 1 Doc have been interested and supportive regarding PVs. The one Doc was pretty adamant that anyone who didn't quit cold turkey was a wuss.

Latest demonstration was with a bunch of people gathered around sniffing clouds of vapor trying to guess the flavor. The manager for the ER was watching with a little smile on her face even.

Hopefully HR/Legal doesn't screw this one up.
It was one thing to ban smoking in the building, but now both hospitals have banned smoking on their property. The result is smokers lining the street and or the railroad tracks that run right by the hospital. Instead of hiding the smokers in a little out of the way spot, everyone sees them now.

Take heart that there are a lot of people with an open mind out there and vape on!

I'm happy to hear there are people in LaX that know what an ecig is! I live in the Tomah area now, lived in Onalaska for 9 years. I have never seen another person with an ecig, and I've had 2 doctors looked at me like I was a nut case. Although the nurse was interested for her brother-in-law.

Actually I just found out that Def Ear here sells e-cigs. Gonna have to visit and find what exactly they have. Hopefully it not a SE.

There will be more e-cig users soon, convert them all!
