Just need to know one thing before purchase, guys...

How does the button action/ conductivity compare to the PrecisePlus?

Meaning... Do you remember that side-button pressing trick cause sometimes the P+ was not delivering that perfectly that happened to many of us... !? -Then, this thing is not a problem here anymore, or is it?

Please fill me in?

Also, WILL it hit harder than the P+? -As a Caravela, or Poldiac???

Please share!!!

I don't think anybody's had one long enough to say.

What I meant Snork, was whether it would hit harder than P+, just as a Poldiac or similar, and if out of the design to the button, it was safe to make the assumption there wouldn't be a need to side-press the button as in the case of P+ for many of us, as commented before in a thread...

Do you have one SNORK (I guess you do, heee!) !? -What do you think?

Also David could fill me in on the design thing and the eventual need for side-pressing the button as in P+...!?

I've owned a Poldiac and own a Caravela. I don't feel like either hits harder than a Precise Plus. Especially once you factor in oxidation on the contacts on the Poldiac and Caravela. Maybe for the first half a day on the Poldiac, but I'm not cleaning my relatively soft-silver plated contacts twice a day to get a negligible bump in performance.

I have one on the way. :)
I spent a good deal of time contemplating the side pressing issue. Some things David said plus some experiments on my side lead me to a specific course of action that nearly eliminates any occurrence. One, the button, button housing, and spring should be squeaky clean. Not sanded clean as in remedying oxidation, but just soap and water get the crud off clean. Two, the button housing needs to be TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT to the body. I started doing that and even my Kicks sort of worked.
Hitting harder. Now that all, I believe is in the mind of the hittee. I went through a little spell of testing various things in various way and the only conclusion I came to is that I could make pretty much any number I wanted poot forth given any set of circumstances, and interpret them however I wanted to make whatever I was testing look a certain way. In the end the way I made it look was that a ShockWave hands all other mods their asses.

Snork,

I do agree that the psychological component does go a long way, in general, when it comes to determine which mod hits harder. Then again, in my experience, even though big part of it may be based in mere perception as stated, I do notice that PrecisePlus will only hit hard as expected if it is clean, if the button is properly tight to the body -as you very well described, etc... -This factor; the need to have your mod clean and such is mostly true for most mods; agree, however the difference in performance, IMHO will be larger in the case of P+. -Don't get me wrong, I do love my PrecisePlus, but I'd love for it to be 100% hassle-free, as my Optimus, or at least for it not to change its performance that much when not perfectly 'fit'...

Does this make sense?

Please do fill me in once you get yours Snork... ;)

Yesterday I tried to purchase 2 18650s, and they would be out of stock the moment I put them in my shopping cart. Then they would appear as with stock in the site, but the same thing happened everytime I tried to buy them. -Anyway, today I could finally buy them...

They were too beautiful, and David's products are impossible to resist, you know that... And something tells me this mod will be zero hassle or way more simple in terms of cleaning and that, heee! ;)

DAVID: Please make sure to check the mail I am about to send your way. PLEASE! Contains IMPORTANT DETAILS!!! Thanks!

Happy! ",

What makes the Simplicity so alluring to you, over the P+ for instance?

Snork,

The Precise+ is the most beautiful mod I've ever seen, and the 18650 two-tones version is one of the most beautiful pieces of art I've ever witnessed... That's how I feel about it.

That being said, I have never loved the type of button, action-wise. While I have always loved, automatically 'flat' button mods... I love using them.

Also: I baby my P+ so much that using it is kinda a pain with my OCD, heeee! So I needed a more don't-mind-scratching-thaaat-much simpler mod. My mind is not ok with me using my P+ mostly and I suffer cause, again, I have to be extremely careful.

Then, there's the adjustable feature of the top cap. Essential!

And the finish, I am loving it for a "combat-every-day-ready-to-use" mod, so to speak...

I don't know; there's others... I guess it's a complex combination of facts...

But bottom line, the very fact that it is called Simplicity gives my brain sort of a peace of mind and kind of makes it feel it is ok to use it!

Huuuuuuuuuuuuuaaaaah!

Does it make sense or have I completely lost it?

Heeeee!
