oh man I hate to say it but unless the light goes out it will need to be replaced... because the light should be going out when fully charged and not in use.

Darn. You know I unplugged the auto X2 about an hour and a half ago and started charging the manual one. Guess what? The manual one seems to work perfectly. It charged in about an hour or so and the LED turned off as it's supposed to. I guess the manual one got to me with a decent charge in it to begin with. I assumed it would take 3-4 hours as per the product page but again it only took about an hour.

So at least I have a working (manual) unit in the interim that seems to be charging and turning off ok. I take it I should contact SI customer service directly about a replacement for the auto X2 and return the malfunctioning one? Thanks.

yes you should contact them via email on our contact us page and they will take care of it asap.

The X2 does come with a partial charge... so once you fully drain it ..it will take about 3 hours to charge

I see what all the fuss is about now as to SI's customer service. Already Tom at SI has responded and is sending out a replacement X2 1300. Unfortunately the black ones are now oos but I don't think I'll mind the white one they're sending me. SI even offered to test the replacement and ensure its proper functioning. Very nice.

Just started vaping this morning for the first time and can appreciate how this works for many to quit analogs. I haven't had one in over 4 hours :) Still experimenting trying to find the right flavour, strength, fine-tuning my 'draw' which seems to make a difference, but my initial outlook is very positive. The clearos do seem to minimize fuss and mess and while its early still, I think I prefer them to the XL blank carto's. Thanks to everyone at ECF who has help this noob get started.

I'd like to offer my impressions concerning my X2 ~ Clearomizer setup. I haven't had an opportunity to see just how long the Clearo's will last, but so far they are great.

I have the more expensive Volcano tube tank and I see it coming way behind my
X2 setup. It's a whole bunch easier to load, a more positive connection, and has never leaked at all. Of the first 3 of them I purchased from Image, they are solid performers. It's so simple to switch between them for either different flav's or when the "well runs dry".

I do rely on the Volanco tank-o-miser for traveling in most cases, it just seems to be easier.

Bottom line for me at least, the Image X2 Clearomiser system is my "go to piece".

Mine arrived yesterday. Hooked them up to charge and one light went out in an hour, the other at two hours. I did notice that the inside of the end caps had different tool markings, but they seemed to both take a charge and cut off right like they should. I've only used one so far, but it works great!

I finally bit the bullet and decided to order a 1300 manual. I've been using the new clearomizers on my little batts after they wouldn't fit on my Echo and I totally fell in love. I thought I would just order the non-cone version clearos from another site but with my saved up Volt points, it was actually cheaper to get a new battery and some more clearos from SI. Awesome! I'm excited I can finally order my dad's supplies and mine all in one place. I can't wait to try my first manual battery and my order should arrive right on my birthday. Woot!

A carrying case would be a nice accessory. Either a soft, lined covering that could protect against drops from pockets or banging against things in a purse; or, for the guys, a removable pocket clip for a front shirt pocket. Another option would be a molded case like they offer for the smaller 68/78 mm that could carry at least 3 or 4 clearomizers.

Is the manual battery supposed to light up on the button or the by the pass through when it charges? I just got mine in the mail, but it's not lighting up while plugged in. I was wondering which area I should focus my jedi mind powers on...

I was also confused at first... Don't worry, they usually come pre-charged so it should only take 5 minutes (Or even none at all) for it to charge and it's good to go!

Hmmm... I've been puffing on it for a couple of hours, but there's still no charging light when I plugged it in. I think I'll run it dead and then see what happens. But I did have a friend come over and visit and they thought it was a flute... LOL. I'm going to start calling it my piccolo.
