i06 DCA MIGHT be here tomorrow but im absolutely loving the stainless steel i06 DT from ikenvape! I guess the excitement for these has gone.. As long as i can use my i06 (except with the delrin) im in LA LA LAND..
OK, been using the I06 DCA for about a week with a 2.5 on a ProVari.
I'm having trouble believing I lived without it for so long.
Tightens the draw. Enhances the flavor. Makes the I06 even better, which I did not think was possible.
When this beta is done, I will be getting more so I won't have to be without one no matter what happens.

I got the beta Dca for the io6, been using the regular Dca for months now.
So my question, anyone have an io6 they want to sell so I can work with this io6 Dca beta? About 1.8-2.0?

I've been using the i06 DCA now since vapebash and it is well worth getting. Like said before it tightens up the draw and the flavor is great. The only trouble I am having now is with my stainless i06 drip tips and my DCA I have ran out of atty's. Isaac I hope eveything gets settled and works good for you because with these new products combined with the i06 you have some of the best products out there.
Issac, thanks so much for sending me one of the Beta IO6DCAs to try. With everything happening for you at this time, I can't believe you took the time out to send it. You're the 'best'.

So, I'm noticing a slate grey colored deposit forming in the threads of the bottom section that connects to the ProVari. I'm thinking this could be an oxidation reaction of the aluminum DCA threads and the SS connector. I had the DCA on the ProVari for a week when I took it off and the build up was very noticeable. It looked like the valley of the threads were completed full with it.
I cleaned it with alcohol until the threads were shiny again. After using it for just a day, I could see it happening again. And after a few days, looks like it could use a cleaning again.
Is this to be expected w/ aluminum to SS connection? Could it be bad over time, for the ProVari's 510 connection threads?
In the io6Beta thread someone suggested using Noalox on it. But I thought using Noalox at the 'vaping' end threads (like on an atty) was not recommended due to the potential of zinc fumes from the Noalox as well as maybe changing the ohm's of the connection.
Comments? Opinions? Am I overly sensitive/concerned about this?

Might help if you recall that the male threads on the DCA are no where near the air inlet?
Be pretty hard to get zinc fumes from the threads into the draw. I treated my threads when I noticed the oxidation.
(And if zinc fumes give you concern, look up the effects of inhalation of aluminum oxide... Trust me you'll have a great time...)

Agree when using the DCA, if I use Noalox on the DCA threads, it's not around the air inlet. But then the Noalox will be transferred to the 510 connector and if I switch to a carto, tank or atty w/o the DCA, then any residual Noalox on the 510 threads is close to the air inlet. So I guess it would be best to clean out the 510 threads before switching components.
Not trying to blow this out of proportion or raise it as any serious drawback to the io6DCA, just trying to understand and learn things to separate fact from fiction when I read 'stuff' in the forums. Let's be real to myself and remember I smoked cigs for 40+ yrs and ignored what I was taking into my lungs.

I've never concerned myself with Noalox as I use such a tiny amount on my vape equipment that a drop the size of a pea would last me the rest of my life and my childrens' lives. I'm sure I inhaled more zinc oxide from the stuff my grandmother used to rub on my nose in the summers when I was a kid than I could ever get from my tiny daps of Noalox. (I use a much greater quantity when I'm installing spark plugs, so imagine what's comin' outta' tailpipes.)
I had a safety/quality manager come up to me one day at work and gave me a material list of this new powder substance they were going to use on a project I designed. I'm checking it out to make sure it meets the spec's I laid out when he informs me that they are going to dump it on the factory floor and shovel it from that pile. I ask him if he realizes that it has finely ground aluminum oxide and silica in it and he says, "Yeah, that's what you wanted. Why do you ask?" (After I unleashed on him I was put in charge of safety equipment for the plant. That guy gets a promotion later in the year and I was still in the same position when I finally left that company. But I've long known that being good at your job means you stay in that job and being bad at your job means either being fired or promoted depending on the level of stupidity in the C-suites.)

This is off topic but what part or Indiana you from hoosier, just wondering cause I'm located in Terre Haute.
I tell people I live near Kokomo because the place I do live is seldom on a map and the road I live on is not recognized by the USPS as a road. (The county repaved it last year, so it exists to someone.)

I am in shock that both colors are still available! Does nobody realize how amazing this invention is?! I am the owner of beta tester #1 and it is all I have been vaping with since I got it... Since then it has even been revised and I waited until the black ones came in to grab one of the newer versions. Trust me, if you use an i06 then you want one of these...
I pretty much gave up on cartos, since I've been using the i06's. I bought some fusions for the heck of it. I punched a hole, and threw in a tank. All I can say is WOW!! I never expected a carto to taste so good, and of course huge clouds. I'm happy that I found a perfect work friendly carto again. It's hard to drip and drive in a 54,000 lb truck.

My carto supply should last me several years at my current rate of usage.... but yes, the fusions are great Their consistent wicking is perfect for tanks, and the bottom flange is good for keeping the tank stationary. I just find myself drawn more to attys these days.
My DCA should arrive any day now! Really looking forward to trying this thing out.

I won a VModXL and have been doing more atty's lately. I wanted a bottom feeder and it works well with Ikenvape attys.
I tell people that exact same feeling Jimi!
I'm not a carto kinda guy, but can put one together in a flash, the only carto I like is the Fusion, like the counterpart io6 atty, they both are geared towards balance. Mostly everyone who don't like cartos instantly fall in love with it. Actually had that conversation 3 times yesterday!
