Can someone let me know what titanium wire to get. I dont need anything with a special label or fancy name. I dont see any at Temco where I usually buy wire.

Thanks
Unkamen Supplies- Titanium Wire

Been using this wire for 5-6 weeks. Needs a wipe with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol before you use it. But, I did that on all the different wires since I've been twisting my own.

Just ordered from LightningVapes, a roll each of 28 & 30 gauge, but decided to try the TEMPERED versions. Will try some spaced coils in my SubTank Mini, and report back!

Got my D2 in today. I was shocked at how small it is. The video reviews always make a mod look larger than it is.

First impressions: Feels sturdy, well constructed, has a nice bright screen, and comes with a nice sleeve. Only used Kanthal on it so far as my nickel wire is still in the mail. The combination of this mod with a Subtank mini v1 with black o-rings looks pretty sharp.

I got some Ni200 28 gauge tempered wire in the mail. Hopefully that will work out on my STM.

Are you talking about TI or NI? I not aware of any tempered Ti. as far as the Ni goes, thats all I use now. It is so much easier to work with. I use the 28g tempered the most.

SORRY, I went with Ni200. Since the D2 also does Ti, that is down the road for me. Glad you like the tempered, do you find its close to the same resistance as the softer Ni200? I read there may be a small difference, but figured for the ease of use over the softer stuff, it would be worth it anyways!

Maybe A slight bit higher but not much, I almost gave up on NI untill I bought a bunch of the tempered from Lightning. Ti is somthing I have not tried yet with the D2, I'll try sometime soon but I am very happy with the NI results. the difference is night and day between tempered and regular Ni.

Agreed. Since buying tempered about 2 months ago, all my standard ni200 is put away in a drawer.

Then my sleeve got stretched out I reckon...BTW, I tried in-mod charging when I first got it but it started to feel hot to to the touch... Didn't like that so that's when I went for a batt swap instead...anyway, thx for replies

Its a 1amp charger which will cause heat as it charges semi fast. Its normal for what its doing. I think someone tested the charger and his was drawing like .899ma or somewhere in there so its not a bad charger. I prefer my DYI 2amp charger its super fast about an hour. If im caught up on cells I can cut it back to .500 which is really the best way. I do use the onboard charger at work, I keep a 1amp plug in my backpack. Weird about your sleeve but these are very thin, ive been thinking about getting a better one.

Yeah, I was thinking about that myself..
Only place I've found that will have them in stock soon is SweetVapes..I think they will be available in 10 diff colors..
About $5....I also understood from their website that pre orders are accepted right now .. But I'll wait till they actually have them in stock...

If you think the information we are offering is to difficult and for expert, Keep your head out of the SXM thread. It will EXPLODE. I was only trying to offer simple setup advice.
I highly doubt you just drop coils into your RDA's and they work. You took the time and learned what works for you................unless you have a shop set you up.
Well I started vaping 3yrs ago..during that time I learned how to build a RDA for my mechs, learned about ohms law and batt saftey, and moved to VW mods when they suddenly could fire my sub ohm builds..(IPV3)
I have 5 VW mods to date..only 3 of them has TC...including the IPVD2 ...I've tried a couple different nickel builds in the Doge and subtank Mini...(Joules mode) Those builds were not nearly as good as I got with Kanthel, and down right pathetic compared to my Nichrome builds..
I don't tootle puff so that's probly why TC dosent appeal to me..but I do like blowing good clouds, and occansioally fogging up my room...lol

Hey do you build horizontal or vertical coils in your STM? I wanna try out a vertical coil but worry it will be hard to make and have a high leg loss

Right behind you...
Tootle puffers in general aren't fans of TC either.

Once you DO get the hang of a good TC build on a particular atomizer, it pays off. Like I mentioned somewhere else, we've had several years to perfect atomizers and mods and coil building and wicking for standard builds. TC is less than a year old.

That's true Croak...but I'm gonna leave it to you experts for now..As for me I'm very happy with Kanthel, and notably Nichrome that's used in power mode only....Keepin'it simple works for me, lol

Have not done a vertical, and waiting for the Ni200 to do my first STM build. My only other building experience is on Chalice 3, and Egrips. Should be fun.
