Interesting that most of the reviews miss that you cannot set memory in Joules mode (in this video they actually say you can).
I would expect the joules memory functions to be activated in a future firmware update.

VapeNW actually has the Silver in stock? It isn't just a pre-order still? If that is the case, I'm emailing and asking them to switch my pre-order over to a Silver. I initially thought the only difference would be the Taco shell being black or being a silver/grey color, but it sounds like that might not be the case as the Silver looks more like it has a black taco. Seeing as the Black version might not even look at all like I thought, I don't see a reason to wait, I just don't care enough. I grabbed it because it was a great price for what you get, and it can give me S and M clases and dna devices a break while I'm out of the house for an extended period of time or at work.
Hopefully they do indeed have them in and can switch me over and ship it out.

So when I emailed two weeks ago and asked if I could switch if there was a supply issue, and you said "We usually do that, but P4Y is good about sending us units"...you were just saying what I wanted to hear so I could be brushed aside?
If they are really going to refuse, I'm just going to cancel it and get my refund and order elsewhere.
Makes no sense at all that they can't just send me the Silver when it is in stock.
BTW, I was extremely nice in my email to them, but the one sentence reply makes me think they don't even want to deal with it.

When I emailed VapeNW and asked about an estimated ship date for the black ipv4, I was told it would ship when VapeNW receives them. Also considering canceling my order with them and picking one up elsewhere.

Yeah, and considering they apparently have the Silver in stock, I don't see what the problem is. I almost rather just cancel completely and go pick one up elsewhere after this.
Besides being told two weeks ago they would be able to send out a different color if there were supply issues, "the system won't let me" is not an excuse that holds any weight with me...just, no.

hitting like a champ and the UI was a breeeeze, using a nice and tight Ti single coil.....the only thing i noticed is the coil reading is off compared to my other 3 devices but it's working perfectly....have a blk freak-Show on it....happy camper here so far.

yet i have ordered plenty of stuff from fluid they might take a day or 2 for you to get tracking but you will get what you order from them, i never had any problems w/them.

Well, its clearly not worth the time it sounds like it would take having to message them back and forth to switch me. If it isn't shipping in a week or the black winds up looking completely different than anyone thought it would (in a bad way) I'll just cancel and leave them be. Order a silver elsewhere, anywhere
I would prefer the black one, but I'm starting to think there is a reason why no one has seen one yet and they are a few weeks behind schedule compared to the silver. Generally in these type of situations they don't wind up looking better than customers hoped...usually quite the opposite, lol

Just got my IPV4 today. Had ordered since 2/16/15. Seems hollow and cheap on first impression. Hope I'm wrong....we'll see. Not impressed with the plastic cover. Actually a cheap band-aid to Simplify production and increase profits.

Dems86, I would cancel. I had a problem with VapeNW when the subtank mini came out. Every site had it shipping when it first came out and VapeNW emailed me saying they hadn't received it yet and I should have been aware that this is a pre-order. I wound up canceling & ordering from MVS that same day and received the mini 2 days later. I mean, unless your amendment on the black, I would cancel and order from Origin Vape who has a bunch or one of the others that were posted.
Ggrhaulin, you don't like the taco shell? I think it works well, feels good in hand. I've had no issues so far. I think P4U wanted to be different with their magnet door...sure it's not the best quality but it works well. The only thing I'm not crazy about, like everyone else, is the mirror screen cover. It is impossible to read outside unless you're in the shade. I'm not removing it cause it looks sh**ty underneath. Hopefully a fw update can maybe increase the brightness but I'm not holding my breath.

i don't understand all the hub-bub i originally wanted the blk version but i'm telling ya the silver version looks and feels good in the hand and the blk battery cover fits very snug and also compliments a blk atty with a silver chuff-top....un-less mine falls apart in the next few days i feel like i made out like a bandit, plus it hits like a freight train and the UI is very simple.....if i go out somewhere i just take a Mec; my simple solution but that's just my lousy

While it isn't removing it, you could temp remove it and remove that mirror finish over the area of the screen and put it back on the device. I've seen a video that was linked to on the forum where people did it. I agree though, it was a pretty dumb move to go with the mirrored finish, especially over the screen.
I actually thought what is now the silver version was going to be the black one where the silver would have a silver looking taco shell and black would be a black one. Glad i canceled with gearbest and ordered a silver one from elsewhere. Now for it to ship and get here.

I was thinking the same, now I regret ordering the black, as it is no where in sight.
How long did it take for you to get your money back from gearbest, I have a preorder with them for the black, but cautious of cancelling as not sure how or how long it will take to get my money back, but getting really tempted, as could get a in stock with not to much of markup on the US sites.
