Apparently the silver ipv4 is going to look like this:

And the black will be basically the reverse:

That would be cool. I dont know what to believe. Lol. Some are saying they have been in contact with pioneer4u and that they haven't shipped anything yet. Then hearing that vapenw will be receiving theirs soon. Gearbest is processing orders, which the page states they only do that when an order will be shipping within 3-5 days, and its hard to get a straight answer from them. Only time will tell.

I wonder why all the product descriptions list USB charging port. I hope it comes with the charger. Hard to find a charging brick now that most of the RadioShacks are closing up.

According to the manual which is now available as a JPEG download from the Pioneer4You website it's a 3.5mm "Cyclo" charging port.
It requires 9 volts @ 2 amps. The manual states that a charging cable is included along with a USB cable. However, there is no picture of
what the cable looks like or what type of connector is on the charger output end.
I sent an email to: denny at pioneer4you.com to see if he is able to send a photo of the charging cable and what type of charger is recommended.

Here's the owner manual:

Here's a URL to download the full sized jpeg which is 2793 x 2828 resolution: http://www.pioneer4you.com/data/article/1428603808679400258.jpg

Here's the text of the email I sent him:

Denny,

I know the unit comes with a charging cable as stated in the contents list of the user manual with a 3.5mm male end.

What size is the other end? Is there a photo of it? I see that the charging is at 9 volts DC with 2 amp current. What type of charger do you recommend for this?

If you are able to include photos that would a big help!

I hope he'll get back to me soon, but it's 12:52AM 4-14 over in China right now.

per that description "the other end" of the charger cable likely has an AC adapter... I think by "Cyclo connector" they mean barrel connector -- the same thing on your monitor, landline portable pones, and routers.... I do have to admit that "Cyclo" sounds way cooler than "Barrel" though ;)

I won't be devastated if the thing cannot be charged by usb but I expect it will work with either the power brick charger or Usb based on the descriptions. What good is pass-thru mode if you are tethered to a brick.

Aren't you inherently tethered to something when using any passthrough?

Yes, but not to a power socket. USB plugs are everywhere, and are not particularity proprietary. Power bricks are a pain in the ...., or as many call them wall warts. It is nice being able to sit at a computer and charge and vape (modern computers are capable of charging a device properly and by modern I mean less than 4 years old).
