Big ? I have no nolox what can I safely use to clean my threads with?:vapor:

You can wipe down the threads with a cloth or paper towels. I like using a towel with rubbing alcohol. It gets all the thread nice and clean. Noalox is not something you use to clean threads with, it's a compound you use to apply to the threads after they have been cleaned. You can clean your ProVari and use it without applying Noalox if you don't have any right now but it would be a good idea to get some from ProVape and apply it later when it arrives.

Here is a good tutorial video on how to use Noalox. Hope this helps.

Ok I'll clean with rubbing alcohol but since I have no nolox what should I use ? Vasoline ? Or ?? On my threads after the R. A.
If you don't have Noalox or Silver Conductive Grease, don't use anything. I would not use vaseline. You won't hurt your threads if you don't have Noalox for a while.

mine has never given a battery 'warning' since i got it, it just works until I get a fast flash and its dead. If I was at 4.5V though I can usually screw the batt back in and drop to 3.7 and get another hour though .. is that normal ?

edit: Nevermind, I see this was already answered now.

Don't forget to pick up some "bling" for your ProVari, I ordered the Compass Point cap on the right.

Edit to add;

It wouldn't hurt to pick up some extra batteries either.

Just sayin'

If its not the black model and the overspray is not a issue, a couple of other things to check, and general maintenance/cleaning: Remove and reinstall the spring as its possible oxidation is reducing the ground. By removing the spring this would scrape off any.

Also check the batteries positive and negative to make sure they are clean. Some users have used a nail buffer to lightly clean the contacts. Also check inside the tube to make sure the positive contact looks clean. If you need to clean the contact, you can lightly scrape it with a small hobby screw driver or a long q-tip with a little isopropyl alcohol.

Make sure the bottom of the tube is clean, where the end cap meets with the tube and clean out the threads.

Lastly, its good to clean the atomizer area. We see a lot of juice build up in that area and on the positive contact pin in the middle. A little isopropyl or water on a q-tip to clean that off is a good idea.

If you still have issues, email us and we can arrange for a checkup.

Vape360....I am extremely dissapointed...............in myself for not checking the obvious.......everyone please remember this thing IS bulletproof.....but even an M1 Abrams has to visit the motor pool for routine maintenance and a wash up............if not, it cannot do its job properly........clean your connections as described by Vape360,probably bimonthly I would say, unless you are a messy vaper and ya drip too much.....you know who you are

but anyway, thanks again Vape360 for getting right on this and once again providing spot on info for a tremendous product, which is only out shined by your stellar customer sevice..I wish all vendors would follow your example of service, but I guess this takes confidence in your product..which I can totally understand from Provape!!! :vapor::vapor::vapor:

No problem, Hopefully this resolves the issue. We have seen a few units come back and they were fully functional after cleaning so this is one clue that the main contact points benefit from a little cleaning from time to time.

While its generally maintenance free, there are a few areas that are good to check.

One area to check is the positive contact pin inside the tube. This is where the battery positive meets up with the circuit. We have seen batteries get grime on the positive button then its transferred to the contact point when installed. A long Q-tip on a stick with a little isopropyl will clean that contact. If you look in there and it looks black of spotty instead of shiny then give it a wash. 99% isopropyl is recommended.

I just received my bottles with today’s mail. Thanks ProVape, fast shipping, as always.

My journey for needle tip bottles continues, as these were not the ones I was looking for, however these bottles may be perfect for you.

Hello.Good thread, but......
I`ve cleaned my Provari(satin silver) few times, but it still doesnt work, as it should.
Every part of PV is very clean. PV disconnets a few times a day ,and I must reset unit to vape further ,and I`m nervous. I`m waiting for another IMR 18650 battery, maybe it`s battery failure?
Lo is off and it shuts off at 3,8; 3,7,;3,6;3,5 .... and I must to unscrew and screw end cap to vape again. This happens almost always, when unit is lying for some time(half hour, 1 hour) not used or when I`m changing atomizer or carto :( I usually vape 3 ohms at 5,2 V

Email us if the problem continues with the new battery and we can arrange to see what's going on.

Hey all, I haven't posted in a while as I have been enjoying every moment with my Provari. However, I am experiencing the same thing that adamstasiek is with regards to the unit. This happened a few months into having the unit so I as well thought it was the batteries. After I ordered the new ones (and decided to not only order the 18490s but the 18650s as well w/ extended cap), the same issue occurs. After a full charge, I can vape away without issue. Once the battery levels reaches to a certain point (I'd say 3.5), if I let the unit sit for even a small amount of time or after I refill (taking off the drip tip, filling, replacing drip tip), the unit will not fire. I must unscrew the cap so the battery is disconnected, wait a few seconds, then screw the cap back on so the unit resets. Other times, I go through this process a few times before I can fire again.

I think I am having some low battery indicator issues as well. For the last month or so I felt that the light would start blinking sooner than usual but didnt really mind. My wife actually said something to me last week that made me decide to look into it more. "that thing is always blinking, can you make it stop?" So I found this thread and after reading about cleaning it up I had hope! But after cleaning the threads and contacts I still get the low battery blink at about 3.8v left on the battery.

I don't have a multimeter so I cant be sure that I dont have a battery or charger problem. I can unscrew the cap and screw it back in and the light will stop blinking. Sometimes for an hour or two, sometimes it starts blinking again right away. Should I contact Provape? It scares me thinking about having to send my vari away!

I seriously thought all 4 of my batteries were going out on me. I'm having the same issues with the blinking and short battery life. I thought I might have to replace the batteries, but it seems like that might not be the problem. It's really more of an annoyance than anything else, but it would be nice to know that I could trust my batteries to last throughout the work day.

I am having this issue as well and David is aware of my situation. I got my first Provari/2 batteries a few weeks ago and just bought a second Provari (due to the promo) and 2 more batteries and both units are having the same issues. The light starts blinking after a couple of hours, or less. It should certainly be lasting longer. Tonight I had to take the battery out and put it back in in order for it to start working again. I've tried cleaning the spring area as suggested but that has made no difference either. I think I will let him know that there are several others having this same problem.

Hey All,

We are looking into this to see what's going on.

Thanks for letting us know! I just got mine this morning and it did this once. When I went to Cb it said 3.8. It hasn't done it a single time since then though. I'm not worried as long as it does not become a nuisance. Wonderful product otherwise, definitely don't regret getting it. My girlfriend now has Provari-envy.
