Is anyone seeing this extra text?

Hey.. I was just in a thread in the simple solutions forum and see all this weird text. It's so difficult to follow what is being said because of it.

Thread here:

The text surrounding words is this:

And in some posts it's darn near every other word, so much so it's difficult to follow what is being said.

Funny you should ask.....

I just now spent a bit of time trying to get rid of the replacement text in one of my posts. There are keywords included somewhere in your text, so it becomes a link to vaping.com.

I am going to bet that there's site maintenance going on that involves highlighting words connected to vaping? It is extraordinarily annoying, I guess (despite my thoughts to the contrary at times) I use lots of vaping related words. It's worst on my own posts, but I do see some in other posts, too.

It definitely needs fixed bad! Can't follow a conversation like this!

Glad its not just me. I did sit there for a minute thinking 'What the hell have I just pressed to make all this happen'......lol

The site has been a bit wonky so I've been staying away lately. I still can't use the back button which is a drag. It's attached to the advertising popups and for each ad I have to hit the back button to get back to latest posts.

Reported it in another thread but it appears retired1 didn't get it resolved.

Oh, it's showing up in quotes too? I grabbed a screenshot as when I would go into Edit on my own posts, the code insertion was not present.

Yeah it's showing in quotes too, and I wasn't sure it would. .

Hoppity hops! I LOVED those as a kid, only mine was just a gigantic blue ball with a handle. If I could've gotten (is that a pony???) that one, my life would have been complete.

I still believe them to be a totally fine mode of transportation.
