I found the husband's old setups (2006-7??) and even a flavor (tobacco something, 18 mg.) I was all ready to charge it up and vape it (I was curious!!!!) Fortunately, cooler heads prevailed (thanks @Opinionated) and I have merely preserved it for posterity. I should take a pic only like, I don't want to be bothered right now. I'm getting all psyched up for yoga and that means not moving for an hour plus coffee.

Don't judge me. I also get to take vape breaks (formerly smoking breaks). When my sister the marathoner and I next get together, I plan to take her hiking and Keep Up. LOL.

BTW - I hope the trend here on the ECF Isn't to Hyperlink everything to www.vaping.com ?

Because it seems like everywhere I go on the Internet someone is trying to sell me something. The ECF is (was?) refreshing because they weren't trying to Bombard Me Constantly with Ads and Promo Come-On's.

It seems to be linking everything. Even words like s ense, (spaced so I don't l ink) takes you to taanks on that v aping site, t obacco takes you to e l iquids, one word after the other is being l inked..

I am not willing for every word I type to be some kind of an advertisement. Really Im not. Making money or no, this is way too much for me. I am a person, not a dang walking ad.

I love helping people learn about v aping and get off the sm okes, but I am not an advertisement for some w eb site.

Man... Thank You for making this Thread.

I thought I was having a Wicked el-Cid Flashback or something from that Mystery Bottle of DIY e-Liquid I found in the back of the desk drawer this mourning.

So the experience was fatal?
I take it you got better. :p

I'm not a fan of this set-up.

I take it the board software has a standard substitution feature... it's how URLs get reformatted to a site's title page text with the link hidden from view. Extremely convenient, and welcome.

The inclusion of a list of keywords, if they linked to a vaper's dictionary site, is similarly welcome especially for new vapers. I take it that's the function that's borked today.

But the global redirect to vaping dot com makes no sense. :(

About Us | vaping.com

And by the way...those links have been there for a couple of years.

Good Grief !!!!
I had to really bust that up to have it not have a busted link

Wait and see what the result is. But if it turns out than every post contains links to a product to buy, won't end up hanging around here.

I think one thing Oliver is Very Aware of is people desire to Opt-Out of things. And it wouldn't surprise me IF the Hyperlinking thing is a direction the ECF wants to go, that he would Only Do It if there was a way for Members to Opt-Out if they don't want to see it.

At least I hope so.

Because having a Link to EVERY Tank or RDA or type of Cotton would get kinda Old kinda Fast.

Thanks for that. I actually had the other site in a tab with the intention of looking into a possible link, then got distracted while composing and forgot about it.

I take it Oliver (or someone) is working on getting these borked substitutions under control... and hopefully reining them in. As others have said... things won't go well if we end up with every vape-related word linking over to the other site.
