Is corn syrup ok? And Vanillin crystals?

I have 2 questions: Is corn syrup ok to vape? Saw some flavoring where corn syrup was used to sweeten it a bit.

2. - I've been seeing vanillian crystals for sale lately. I also saw on other threads where vanillin in liquids was said to be a no-no. Are the new crystals safe? and what are they supposed to add to the flavor?

The syrup/sugar will probably kill your addies pretty quick. The vanillin crystals are in alot of premade juices that have been in use for a while & haven't heard any bad about them, but they need to be dissolved. Onestopdiyshop dissolves some in pg and sells it- they should know what they're doing!

That's what I was also thinking about the syrup, but I didn't know if that was fairly common. OSDIY is where I'm getting ready to purchase the crystals from. I didn't see a dissolved version anywhere. I wonder what they are supposed to do. Thank you!

I agree, corn syrup is a definite no-no. I just got vanillin crystal dissolved in PG from PA, but haven't tried to make a juice with it yet. Also got their Vanilla Swirl, which is really similar to Capella Vanilla Custard, but without the custard notes. It is quite good!! And Capella VC did have a tendency to make me cough. Not at all so with the PA Vanilla Swirl. This is the best vanilla flavor I have had.

i love capella's vc and fv. what percentage to you use for the vanilla swirl, might have to give this a try... thanks.

susieque, I have made only one little test batch, 3 mL. I made it at 10%, but if PG doesn't bother you, I would think even 20% would be nice. I always test at 10% at first. It was lighter and airier than capella vc, which is actually more to my liking. Cap vc tasted good, but was too heavy for me, even at lower %. I also have PA vanillin crystals in PG solution, but have not tried it yet. PA fv and Vanilla Bourbon were very weak and not as impressive as the vanilla swirl.
