is it better to buy juices in store vs online (steeped already in store?)

Not all juices need to be steeped... In the past 5 years of vaping, I can only think of a few juices that I was actually motivated to let steep.

Few juices truly benefit from steeping... some really complex liquids will morph and change... but most juices will just deepen or intensify in flavor--- and that is not always a good thing.

Up and down side to buying store bought vs online.

UPsides:

You get your juice quicker
You might be able to taste test it (depends where you buy)
You pay no shipping (double edged sword, you may pay taxes)
You might meet a few other vapors and that trip could be a really cool mini vape meet

DOWNsides:

You have absolutely NO idea how long that juice has been sitting on that self
You physically have to go there (waste of gas, time, etc...)
Your juice may or may not be in stock
Last but not least PRICE, you will pay a markup for buying at a store, it's not their fault they have to pay employees, insurance and still make a profit to stay in business.

Good points also you get to try other flavors that you might not have thought about.

You may have to pay a higher price at a B&M however, at my local B&M, the high-end e-liquid prices are on par with most websites. It probably helps that they also have a website. I find that the difference between shipping costs and local taxes are negligible, depending on how many bottles I want to purchase. I only buy one or two high-end, 30ml bottles at a time so, it is cheaper for me to buy locally. One time, I bought 4 bottles of high-end e-liquids. That time, it would have been a little cheaper if I had purchased them online.

Some brands have the date mixed, printed on the label. For example, I bought a bottle of Five Pawns Castle Long recently. It was mixed on May 1st. I dripped it all night last night. Mmmm

any of you guys ever test the juice on a pen and then go home and put it in a good tank and it's not good? or the opposite? i was at the local store vaping some five pawns and their juice and either the battery was about to die or something because the juices had flavor but i expected more....wasn't sure if i'm just used to vaping out of better stuff than an ego and t3 or whatever clearo

Some stores will let you use a dripper to test flavors. Or if you have an MVP, at least use that (it has ego threading) with the clearo. I agree with you as I don't use plastic clearos either. But if it tastes ok in those, I will give it a try.

yeah the guy let me use his dripper for one of the flavor he already had in it, but it was his personal mod....in my whole vaping experience i have never had an ego threaded product, first mod was a vmod

If you happen to be a customer of the brands that sell mainly through B&M's ( Five Pawns, Space Jam, Suicide Bunny, Jackson, Flavorz by Joe, Baker White, NicQuid etc... ), and a B&M is convenient to get to, yeah i would go to a B&M. You get to try many other flavors. The price is the same as buying online for the most part unless taxes differ. Most of the vape stores in New York have the tax included. Some stores have sales occasionally as well, which would make the price cheaper.

The liquid the stores sell under their own brand has been mostly crap from my experience. Steeping is not a determining issue in my experience.

I am not a fan of the above named brands for the most part and i think they are overpriced for what they are ( except for one specific flavor which i continue to get from a B&M ).

I don't use ego stuff either. Maybe then it's worth getting yourself an Igo w5 for $15 or another cheap dripper. I have pretty good luck though at the shop I mainly buy juice from. I have bought 50mls without trying it and never thrown anything out.

I buy primarily online, and I DO age all my juices. I do find that they get better with age (but I'm also buying more complex juices for the most part). I've got enough juice on hand that's it's easy to just set new stuff aside and forget it for several weeks.

I didn't care for Custard's Last Stand, and so I didn't try the Creme Brule that I got at the same time last November. It's been aging for all this time, and I can tell you - it's divine now.

Even juices that say they don't need to be steeped/aged, I still do it. I just prefer it that way. Again, I have a big enough stash that it's not an issue for me to do so.

I went to the local B&M to buy my first e-cig and purchased 3 different flavors (RY4, a custom fruit blend, and Hypno). They tasted amazing in the store, and the first few times when I put them in my own tank (Aspire ET-S bdc). However, after the first day the flavor was gone. I washed the tanks, changed the coil, and still the same flavors.

So recently, I went to another store and bought different flavors along with the MVP V2, and a few iClear 30s. These flavors all stuck around, however I've found myself getting sick of them. I tried them in my Aspire but it had a burnt taste. I also tried the original flavors in my iClear and they still have no flavor.

So, for me the local B&M just doesn't have quality flavors. I guess I'll be sticking to online juice buying.
