Is it just me or is /u/electronic_cigarette a negative place

So I'm pretty new to this forum but it seems like everyone is friendly and there's nobody being rude to others and putting people down for asking questions. In my experience the Reddit sub /u/electronic_cigarette is very negative for new vapers looking for advice or getting their questions answered. What are your thoughts?

I joined reddit, lasted about a day. The revolving rules in the subforums was just too annoying. They kept scolding me for staying on topic or answering two threads within so many minutes.
