Is it supposed to taste like this?

Hi there, I am new

I have just received my order from theelectroniccigarettecompany.co.uk. It is a super e-cig plus a mixed selection of their own flavours. The only thing is I dont like the taste! It is like smoking on a smoke machine in a nightclub and the fruit flavours are really really weak, so much so that all I can taste is the dry ice. Also, I have to tug on it really hard to get a decent drag out of it and then I feel like the fluid is going to end up in my mouth.

Is all this normal? If not, can someone please recommend where to buy the flavoured liquid in the UK because I am not happy with these ones and am already tempted to light up a real cigarette!

you are experiencing brand new atomiser syndrome - the flavour will improve with a little time and the more juice you put through it.

Is the "super" a combo atomizer/cart? It looks like it from the pics, but if it's not and you have more juice, maybe check and see if the cart is topped off??

When I first got my 901, I only took a few hits off the pre-filled carts before adding (topping off) with the liquid I had bought. I did this due to the stories I had read about the horrible taste of a new atty and I thought maybe keeping the cart completley full would mask the atty taste a bit. I don't know if it worked or if, just neither of my attys had a nasty taste, but I never noticed any kind of gross flavor during the 'break in' period.

You will not appreciate the flavours of e-liquid until you are off tobacco all together, the skanky stuff keeps your taste buds asleep. Make sure you take long drags, 5 seconds is a good aim. You can't take short ones like a ciggy.

If you want to try other liquids then I can recommend e-cigs.co.uk or ivapour-elixir.

Ultimately, if you want a ciggy, have one. It took me two months to get of ciggies and onto only vapour.

I learned the hardway. I only like tobacco/cigarette flavors.
I can't stand fruity/candy flavors.
A problem I have, I love smoking analogs when I'm drinking. Then vaping is a hassle, and less satisfying.

There is definately a "learning curve" to mastering your e cig. also.

Just smoke analogs for now... when you go out. Don't beat yourself up about it.

My 901 tasted like I was smoking my analog down at the filter for the first day. But now my atty is broke in and I can taste the subtle flavors in my liquid.

It might be the PG you don't like.

I found some PG liquid's to have a terrible plastic aftertaste and leave a coated feeling in my mouth. You may want to check out some VG liquid's.

Thank you for all your replies. It does seem to have a plasticky chemical taste to it and I can still taste it even after I have finished. I am not sure if it is the PG or because it is new. Maybe I should try the VG liquids - do they not taste like that?

I found that some of the VG liquids such as Ecopure tend to burn a lot cleaner if that makes any sense.

I like Ecopure myself, but others seem to absolutely hate it. It's all subjective.
