So someone showed me a utube clip of refilling a cartomiser using the condom / cap method or filling the little cap and pressing the attomiser side of the cartomiser down on to it.

SOOOOOOOOOO easy.

But. Might one flood the atty with this method. Why do others go to the bother or removing the plastic rings and manually filling with drops or a syringe, if they could just use the condom method.

My fear is that the condom method is just lazy, and could it be that it does not as well ?

Finally, could someone tell me :
(1) Once you have refilled a cartomiser, how should it be left. Lying horizontal, 45 degrees with the atty at the bottom or 45% with atty at the top.
(2) How long do you leave a refill for. I.E - would you refill and leave for 24 hours before use

I'm still a beginner, but I usually just leave the carto standing up right with the battery side down and let it sit for about 10 minutes. I'm not sure what you mean by flooding the atty - I've only seen the condom method used with cartos (as opposed to a cart and atty). Personally, I prefer just popping the cap off and dripping in. I'm sure someone with far more experience will be able to offer more help though!

There's no "right" way....everybody is just trying to find what's easiest for them. I used the condom method some, but have found it easier to just pop the cap off and drip down onto the filler. It won't matter either way. And no, I've never flooded the atty of a carto....I guess you could get too much juice in and make it less efficient. Just stop filling with it leaks out either end.

Ah, so you turn it up side down, so the part that goes in your mouth is touching the table. Cartomisers are carts + atty's, so have atty's inside them

No, mle was saying the mouth end is up and the threaded end of the carto (battery side) is down. This is so the juice can drain down into the filler and toward the built-in atomizer, instead of draining toward the mouth end.

Refilling cartomizers (Boge 510, KR808D-1, SLB, 4081) can be done in a few ways: direct drip, condom, or using a syringe. Using a syringe is more time-consuming, messier, and I see no benefit is refilling cartos with a syringe.

I used the condom method for about four weeks, then I used the direct drip method for about four weeks, and now I'm using the condom method again. The reason I switched back is because I changed to using only KR808D-1 cartos (instead of Boge 510) using adapters, and the KR808D-1 carto doesn't get juice on the sides when using a condom, like the Boge 510 cartos did. The juice fills the carto much quicker with the condom method. I have to wipe the threaded ends using both methods, anyway, so I'll probably stick with the condom method from now on.

Several cartos can be dipped into a condom in a minute, set each one threaded end down on a tissue while filling the rest of the cartos, then wipe the threaded ends, and then replace the drip tips (or caps if not using drip tips).
