Hi Folks.
The last 2 times I've ordered a 5-pack of Joye 510s, I've gotten the type-B atty (gold ring -- I assume these are the same thing as the Janty DURA, i.e. at one point some vendors, for example Wordup, were selling 2 varieties of 510 std. atty, the "normal" (no ring) and an "enhanced" or higher quality model, which IIRC is/was the DURA -- both nominal 2.2 ohms). Anyways, at least for me, these don't work as well as the plain old 510. I've had one that's lasted seemingly forever, but the vape is inconsistent, and they get gummed up pretty quickly, with a very tight draw. I'm vaping the same DIY stuff I have been for over a year, and I haven't changed brands of nic, PG, or VG. I use only FlavourArt in my DIY.
In both orders, I just ordered plain 510s. No indication on either vendor's site about substituting the type-B or any heads-up. That's just what showed up. So I'm wondering if the original 510 is just gone now. I don't know why vendors wouldn't make a distinction otherwise. Or, if the regular 510 is still being manufactured, who still carries it? I mean, if 2 typically reliable vendors don't make a distinction, it implies to me that there's no distinction to be made anymore, so maybe any random vendor I pick will be listing '510', with it being the type-B now.
So, what's the scoop?
ETA: I should mention that I use a Mako -- unregulated mechanical switch, with a 14500 LiMn batt.
