If you type "Provari" in a post it automatically becomes a link. If you mouseover the link you will see the URL which goes via some shareasale site. Apparently it is some commision for clicks kind of thing. I thought that some users were putting that in themselves, but it turns out it is the site that is doing it. I guess they make money if someone clicks on the link. That's what it seems like based on what I read on the Shareasale site. I didn't mean to offend anyone, apologies if I did. I'm pretty close to buying one but it kind of put me off.

Another day, another "something new". Thanks for the education - I did not know that.

I'll say just this much more; while there are some people who have bought and do not like the Provari, the large majority of people who don't (like them) never actually owned one. It's us, the people who so vocally support it, that turns them off. And I'm cool with that, but it remains kind of silly. "I'm not getting one because so many people love theirs", is kind of biting one's nose to spite their face.

But as long as I have mine, I've no complaints. Let the wars continue (as I vape right through them).

I actually delayed buying one for this reason. I did not want to get one. But Ocelot and some other people I respect convinced me to try it. Now I am a Class I Fanboi according to some. A loyal member of the ProVarinati to others...

Eddard, I see you as the Grand Poobah (for lack of a better term) of the ProVarinati, with Baditude as your Consigliere. And please consider both as complimentary references. :)

I have 5 Provaris; 3 Standards and 2 Minis. I got my first one nearly 2 years ago, and went from there.
Over the last 8 or 9 months, as I became more and more interested in mechanical mods and sub ohm coils on genesis tanks, the Provaris began spending more and more time on the shelf. Eventually I got a Kayfun Lite for each of them, and the Provaris are back in rotation with my mechanicals. For a regulated device, they are simply the best.

My 3 Standards were all version 1. All 3 were sent to Provape for upgrade to version 2. Meanwhile, I had accumulated enough reward points so that the upgrades were free of charge, other than shipping, one way. Return shipping from Provape was free. Turn around time, door to door, was 7 days. Lets see anyone do that with a Chinese device.

Well, while I did coin the term, I made the name somewhat mockingly of the followers prior to owning a ProVari. But I do take that as a compliment!!

the decision was easier 2 years ago than today: 2 years ago it was simply the best APV and had a multitude of safety features designed to make vaping safer with the provari.

Now it honestly depends on what you are looking for. The Provari is still the only one that will pulse out the voltage you set without RMS, you can run over it with a truck, use it as a hammer and if your 6 ml tank explodes the electronics will still be safe and if juice does get inside you can pour RUBBING ALCOHOL in to clean it and then when it is dry you can vape it without any negatives.

That aside if you are looking to get you through the day and won't cry if your tank explodes and kills the sucker then you could survive with something cheap like a SiD or a MSK-2000, or a vamo, or sigeli zmax, or a SVD then they are probably a better fit.

Owning both a provari and other APVs then I would say that there are great choices at any price range. if you can afford dropping the money on a provari then none of us will stop you. if you have to stretch every penny of your vape budget and could see your money better spent an a couple of APV's as opposed to one then get something else. Anymore they all have the safety features built in and with RMS you may get a slightly warmer vape and raddle snake noise but it will be consistent which matters.
