All flavors are concentrated , most are artificial and some are natural extracts. Most artifical ones are diluted in a PG base, some are alcohol based.

Mt Baker ,Flavor West and DIYJUICE are all the same.

Even the same flov such as a 555 or RYT produced by FW, LA or TFA while similiar will be different and require different percentage of flavoring to achive similiar flavor strength which will still taste different and also likely require different steeping times.

There are Threads here on most every brand of flavoring used for DIY ejuice. If one spends enought time readin post they will begin to get a feeling for this.

It may be worth your while to read flavor spicific manufacturing company threads such as Hangsen, tread, TFA thread, Cappilla thread etc. THis will give you an idea on flavor descriptions and differences. A vanilla or cherry or bananna flavor from one company will taste different then another companies. It's all trial and error. A good flavor and popular brand would be hangsen. ECX, VZ and RTS all sell it.

I've read that mt baker's flavorings are watered down. I'd probably go with the other stuff for diy.

I have read that posted as well however I have in fact used the same flavors purchased from Mt Baker , Flavor West and DIYJUICE and they are all one in the same. I have also used several tobacco , berry juice and creames from these sources and from LA and TFA and all I can say is they are the smae strengths to me.

A tobaco from any of these can be strong at 3% or weak at 10% depending on the flavor and same goes to the rest of the flavors.
I have tobacco flavoring I use at 2 to 20% and berries, vanillas and creames I use at 15 to 50% and the brand does not make much of a difference.

Taste is so very subjective, for 56 years I have drunk black unsweetened coffee. My wife and I often drink two twelve cup brewing in a days time. We only drink Maxwell Hous regular blend. I bet there are hundreds on this Forum who could not stand to drinh even one cup of this without addatives. Some who who vape use 5% of a specific brand flavoring and others use 2% and other 10 % of the exact same flavoring. Some vendors advertise thier flaoving as concentrated and then list 20% as the suggested starting point on thier web side yet members here state they only use 4% of these flavors. Mt Baker suggest 20 to 40% which I believe leads many to call these weak but I use their RY at4% and their BluBacco at 25%.

If they were not diluted one drop in a 10ml batch would often be to much and the difference between one or two drop would be extreme.
Most food flavoring used for ejuice are between 4 to 10 times stronger than common cooking / baking ones. Some addative we use have to be diluted to a 10% mix. before even one drop can be added to a 10ml batch.

I had no idea they water down flavoring, no wonder I think my taste buds are dead sometimes!

If you know for sure that a vender is watering down flavors I would stay as far away from them as possible. That being said I've herd nothing but good things about MT. Baker so I think someone better check there facts and provide a little proof before making such claims. I wouldn't listen to every little rumor that comes down the pipe and I would research it myself if I was interested in using that vender.

I concur with what others have said about Mt Baker. They supposedly use Flavor West for their juices.
Not sure what the original question meant but if you take a Watermelon, for example, from Capella, TFA and Hangsen, more than likely, even if used at the same intensity/percentage, they will all taste different. Unfortunately everyone's tastes buds are different. Many people swear by Hangsen flavors and so far, I'm not impressed.
You just have to try some from each brand and see for yourself. What I would recommend is research. See how the flavors are rated by people here and forums like it. If a flavor is loved by most people, it's more likely that you'll like it as well. Also, don't go overboard and buy a bunch of flavors from one brand. I would start small. E Cig Express is a good place to shop because it has many different brands of flavors so you can try a couple from each line until you know what you like.
