Hey Savu, my opinion...

Well, the version 2.0 (stardust) clearo Canvape carries may or may not be of higher quality but the ability to take it apart for cleaning, dryburning, replacing the wick, or to adjust the center post makes it more versatile and increases longevity overall. IMO.

The plastic tube is much more durable and I've not had one crack at all over the last couple months.

While you may not be able to toss it in your jeans pocket and forget about it, at least if it does get a little bent out of shape it's easy enough to straighten it out again. I carry a hard shelled glasses case.

I'm sitting here with more than half a dozen of the non replaceable head types that I've had for months, since I received the 2.0's. I don't think I'll ever need to pull one out for back-up purposes as not one replacement head, tube or base on the 2.0's have given up on me yet. I just replace the wick with 1 1/2 mm. cotton wick when performance wanes and it's good for a few more weeks. It's a very easy and quick dryburn process with no wick in the coil.

Tried the DID clone and another rebuildable but for cost and ease of use, the 2.0 is still the best thing going imo.
The slight flavour improvement(over the cotton wick in the SD 2.0) just isn't worth all the extra hassle, tweaking, handling, tipping, leaking etc.

If you found the regular SD's fairly acceptable you may be even more pleased with the version 2.0 Stardust.

I certainly am.:vapor::vapor:

hitmetwice, i have to say i always appreciate your advice, you have a thoughtful way of putting things that makes this forum great

sadly the ones i was using were the 2.0 - also called V3 (wth is it with these versions, reminds of that funny busardo clip)
and i am purposely not saying the place i got them (no need for vendor bashing right)

maybe i've gotten some from a bad batch, or i seem to just kill these things. just goes to show this isn't a right or wrong thing.

i assume too that the vivi nova is part of the DIDI/rebuildable family, just want to make sure i understand. the mini does have long wicks so tipping hasn't been an issume but i yet to experience leaking or any of the fiddling you mentioned

incidentally if you search for something like "vivi nova VS stardust VS kanger T2" there is no shortage of debate on this, lol

Oh! None taken! I'm just really excited about what I got and how well it's working for me so I get excited and share lots lol.

Although I did kill a clearo finally.... I've been taking them apart to clean them, and getting better and better at it, but I think this one (being the first) I manhandled it a little too much. It was giving me crummy vape, so I checked it to clean it again and it seems that the coil was barely connecting... and now after monkeying with it more, not at all! I got three weeks out of it, so I guess I can't complain. But now I'm really hoping my replacements or at least my trial Stardust show/s up this week! Down to one now! *biting nails*

was this the clearo that comes with the ego-w, out of curiousity how long did it last for you?

Yepper, it was the one that came with. It lasted exactly 23 days... but like I say, I think I might have contributed to its early demise as it was the clearo I learned to clean on. I can't seem to get a handle on how long they are supposed to last... no comments out there. But I found a vendor that indicates the Stardusts expected life is 3-6 weeks, so I was using that as a baseline. By that logic, this did last a reasonable amount of time. I have 10 replacements in shipping (the ones with the LEDs actually), and my Stardust showed up this morning! Yay! Now I just have to figure out what to do with it.

Any advice would be very appreciated! It has FOUR wicks! Do I use it that way? Can I pretty much use it "out of the box" or is some prep required? Excited to try it :)

I've never had a problem with stardust quality. I've put the stardust, T2 and Vivi in numerous pockets without a problem, I'm actually amazed I haven't had a problem with the T2 because I often forget to take it out of pant pockets when I sit down.

Personally I don't like the vapour production of the stardust and like the T2 and Vivi better. The T2 definitely has low build quality, I've broken a drip trip dropping one and broke the metal ring it screws into assembling another one, but since they're ego threaded, they seem more secure on an ego battery than the Vivi to me, unless you get the cone.

People call the Vivi rebuildable, but it is not in the DID family and not really a rebuildable at all. You can replace the coil/wick on it and it's an easy starting point if you're curious about rebuilables, but it really isn't rebuildable per se.

Pbusardo video rebuilding a Vivi coil, this should be linked at about the right time, but if not it's around 15 minutes in; http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=k6_b-uUKVJg#t=925s

tygertyger - filling all the clearomizers is the same, dump liquid in the side, avoid getting it in the center air hole. You can dry burn the coils for a few seconds beforehand, but I don't personally and they all have a bit of a breaking in period before they start working well. Youtube is your friend.

Filling it was a breeze.... I didn't dry burn it either, but I did just "spit out" a half-dozen puffs before I inhaled. So far I'm unimpressed with the flavor I'm getting out of it though... and yes, YouTube was helpful... thanks!!

I have the 3ml firebird from canvape that has a black case and a threaded pen cap for it. I'm not sure if I recommend it or not since I only have a black 1000mah ego and when I put them together it's the size of a small aircraft

But I like it, works well, seems sturdy enough with the case on it, and is aesthetically pleasing (the only combo I've found that doesn't look like a frankenvaporizer other than a hybrid) if the smaller more managably sized 1.5ml ones came with the sleeve I'd probably buy those although I haven't been able to find them anywhere other than canvape (or maybe I have and they're called something else, seems like every vendor has their own names for stuff)
