IS there a proven repuitable mechanical mod build that is cheap, and comparable to something pricey?

Looking to upgrade to a mechanical mod, but short on cash. Was wondering if there was an effective way to simply build a nice looking mechanical mod device for cheap, or cheaper than it would be to buy it in the store, but just, if not more, effective. (ie possibly bigger battery life? information appreciated)

What are you using now?? Mechs arent known for good battery life.... sometimes needing 3-4 changes per day...

To the OP it may be easier to make on thread with the question's you have had in the last 1/2 hour. All your threads are related and and it would be easier for us to answer all the questions in one post then split it all apart in to smaller questions.

I have tried a few $200 mods.

my $16 sentinel hits like a beast and feels great in the hand. doesnt look as nice as the king and chi you but performance is as good if not better.

the nemesis clone is also very nice, brother has that one.
