Is this a sign of nicotine overdose?

I've been vaping 10mg ejuice for a few weeks now and every time I vape for a few minutes I get a tingling sensation and a slight headache in the back of my head. Never had that problem when I smoked analogs. I use a Nautilus mini with an eleaf istick power 80w mod. I decided that maybe if I change my tank and mg to 6 I'd be ok. Went out and bought a kangertech toptank nano with some 6mg ejuice. The problem is the tingling sensation and headache decreases but my nic cravings are more intense. I'm so confused here its not funny, so what do I do? Should I stay with the 6mg or go up to 8 or something and see what that does?

Here's another problem though, I drink atleast 7-8 glasses of water per day while I'm at work so I don't think dehydration is the issue...

I drink at least a gallon of water a day.. and I still have these problems at times... If I don't vape , and or not vape, or smoke cigs, there is no issue... SO I was the first to think dehydration might not be the issue, but I can't think of anything else , other than maybe being allergic to VG

mj79 has a point, it could be an allergic reaction to either the vg or pg. It's not that uncommon.
That's my guess, too. I doubt that 1ml of liquid would come close to cause the body to lose 1ml of water, but even if it did, how much water could it cause us to lose in a day? Extreme case might be 15 - 30 ml per day. That's close enough to my definition of negligible.

its dehydration... vaping causes you to loose 4.6 gallons per puff.. after 5 puffs you will look like this...

probably the reduction in nic.... vaping does not cause dehydration...

just an FYI that's not a lot. There are those who say minimum should be ounce for every pound

Unless you're doing football practice in 95 degree summer weather, an ounce per pound is well above the recommended water intake. Like everything else, too much of anything is not always a good thing. A typical adult doing typical daily activities (no 2 hour spin classes in there) is good on about 2 liters a day. If you drink that much great. If not don't worry as there's also water in the food we eat and that counts too (unless you live on beef jerky).

What does feel dehydrating when vaping is a bit of drying out of the tissues in your mouth and throat and that dryness makes you "feel" thirsty. A vape, a sip, a vape, a sip, is likely all you need to do through the day, unless the sip is vodka. That will make you dehydrated.

At the end of the day, no one can tell you exactly how much water you need. As with most things, this depends on the individual.

Do some self experimentation… some people may function better with more water than usual, while for others it only causes the inconvenience of more frequent trips to the bathroom.

I am a person who has always enjoyed above average fluid intake. The amount of water to cause toxic shock syndrome would cause serious discomfort prior to any ill effect :p 2 liters is the "standard" but every BODY is different. It was more a suggestion to attempt to see if it alleviates these symptoms, not a practice for life that everyone NEEDS to adhere to. Heck in the 2 hours ive been doing anything been up for 2.5 hours, i have had 70 oz of water/fluid.

Some say tea, coffee and caffeinated soft drinks are "negative" fluids due to the diuretic effects of caffeine. I have long forgotten the physiological mechanism of the diuretic effect

Everybody is different, so the best we can do is figure what's "average" and then adjust from there. If you're getting by well on your hydration that's a good match for you. Water intoxication does occur, and depending on their underlying health, happen more frequently than might be expected. Besides, too much water can give you a headache as well.;)

So you're using a Nautilus mini and an 80W iStick. What is the ohm of the coil and how many watts are you using? Are you doing direct to lung or mouth to lung? The power and vaping style could make a big difference.

Like Glass eye said... just adding a bit more..

Your Nautilus is a "standard ohm" tank, the new Toptank nano is a sub-ohm tank.... so what's happening is that sub-ohm delivers more nicotine than the "standard-ohm type, almost double as it vaporizes a lot more liquid per "hit", so most people, when they switch to sub-ohm vaping, tend to cut the level on nicotine in half.

Now, if the way you vape is just mouth to lung or tootle type, you are getting hit hard in a single drag but not enough for long term.

So one way is to have lower level, but hold it in longer in your mouth/lung. Another is to try to do direct lung if you can handle it and again, learn to hold it in for a second.
