I've gone from 18 to 12 back to 18 and back to 12 again. I'm pretty much on 12 regularily now though, I only use 18 cause I hate to waste juice and it isn't going to vape itself.

If I may ask, why did you start at 0? We're you a smoker before? If not, why increase from 0 at all? Just needed some nicotine stress relief?

On the advice of a local vape shop I started at 6 with an Istick 30 and Kanger sub mini. If you're sub ohm vaping, you should not go as high as 18 or 24 due to the concentration of nicotine per hit you get with sub ohm tanks. I'm down to between 3 and 4 mg, working towards zero. But that's just my method. To each his own.

Normal?
Absolutely!
As others have said, careful after getting over the initial transition and gravitating to more powerful and efficient Equipment. Your Progression is proof and quite proper in that less Nic is needed and desirable as your Delivery Devices get more refined.
I started on and craved to highest Nic I could buy. Then after progressing into Mechs and RDAs, that Stuff became quickly overwhelming and counterproductive. Switched to 18 and now on 12 for most of my Weapons (still 18 on a couple Juices but careful in how I partake).

I'm not sure either, but, nicotine does have some thearaputic effects, just as some have mentioned. I was surprised when my Doc said I should drink a cup or five of coffee throughout the day. It is a country Doc's remedy for Attention Deficit Disorder where the attention is going in to many places. I think it is just PTSD or anxiety relieving at a low level.

Anyway, I think about what I am going to do, as far as vaping, when I get to 0mg nic. I think I will still sit on the porch and vape. Probably worthwhile to do.

I don't think it's normal to vape nicotine unless it's an alternative to a smoking habit. Why would someone increase nicotine if they weren't addicted to it?

I was wondering the same thing.

These days, folks do it to "fit in" with the crowd. A good friend of mine vaped to quit smoking, but his wife, who never smoked, started vaping so the two of them could share a common hobby. She actually really enjoys vaping (0 nic) because of the flavors.

My Wife did the same. She is 0 Nic but Vaping helps immensely with her Stress management due to propensities to Anxiousness which can easily become Anxiety as it does with most of us. Plus is a shared Hobby as said although she thankfully doesn't share my Compulsiveness for new and countless Equipment every time I see or read about them. I gots Issues....
I on the other hand, 30 yr Smoker 2+ PAD. Now, 4 yr Vaper and Vaping Enthusiast former Smoker and digging on the Vape instead of my own Grave.

Guess none of us should be quick to judge or jump to conclusions on the OP's backstory until it is given.
Not his first Post so maybe did so in a precious one.

I agree with other's comments. Why start at zero nic. If you are a former smoker, I can see going up to 18. but if you weren't smoking at all, I don't see going past 6mg.

I don't vary changing nicotine content, I change the device. For the all day vape, I vape a modest 6mg nic at 20-25 watts. When I get off of work, I might drip the same juice in a .2 or .3 ohm mechanical for a few hits to get my nic fix.

And that's what surprises me...about me. I used to be a cloud chaser and even enter competitions. Since getting temp control mods, I am VERY happy with just using those mods and RDA sections on subtanks.

I use a kanger subtank nano on my cloupor mini and may sneak a stealth vape or two while at work. However, going 4-6 hours without a break, stealth vapes start tasting very nice.. once I clock out and walk out that door.... It's not uncommon to see plumes of vapor as I walk to the car while I use my derringer/caravela clone. I refill the drip tip when I get in the car, Take the 5 minute ride home, then leave the car looking like a mini nightclub. That's mostly the extent of my dirpping. I rarely drip at the house or elsewhere. AT home, while reading forums, or doing whatever, I have a subtank mini on a Sigeli 100... right now it's at 23.7 ohms.

The juice I use is an 18mg guava e juice with a 50/50 vg/pg, I fill the bottle 1/3rd of the way with the juice, add 20 drops of a flavor (right now, it's 10 drops vanilla custard, 10 drops strawberry), then fill the rest with VG. I use the guava as a good "nic base"... I am really wanting to go full DIY ejuice, but I'm not quite there yet.

I started at 36mg and, within a week, was down to 24. I am at 3mg now and I don't think I will change. I do want to get it a little more out of my "habit", though.

The sitting, tinkering and all the other components are relaxing. As is the 3mg. My doctors (plural) understand and I think they see it as worthwhile. The one explained it to me as similar to caffeine at such a low level and if it helps with stress/anxiety, so much the better.

But, I do want to lose the habit a bit.

I started at 3mg.
That was from 1/2 pack a day and 1/2 can of dip a day.
I chain vape and find anything higher when I am constantly vaping makes me a little queasy.
Now for really stressful times I got my hands on a few free bottles of some 24mg/ml store juice.
I cut it with straight vg to about 6 or 8 mg/ml and can slowly put down 2 or 3 ml of that.

But 0? Occasionally...usually when I am testing a new flavor or a premium I really want is out of 3mg.
I've tried but going too long right now makes me crave a dip of snuff.
