So I went to the doctor for same issue I have and told him by the way I stopped smoking.
He was happy for me and told me he will write it in! asking him what will it do for me ?
Told me in a but 1.5 years my life insurance premium will be cut In a half and health insurance!
Wow I was happy and he showed me out.
Told my wife and she asked” did you say you are vaping?” Told her: no?! dint have the time and the need?!
She saying I lied! you never stopped smocking and you have to tell him!
What do you think?

I've told my doctors that I stopped smoking and am now vaping and they were all very happy about it.

As far as insurances life insurance will still consider you a smoker. With health insurance you will have to check with the insurer.

My wife worked for the State of SC and our insurance is through them. They consider us non smokers for health insurance after not smoking analogs after 6 months. This saved us $70 a month on premiums.

Very confusing. I seem to recall reading that nic leaves the body, as far as testing goes, in around 10 days. So, if you prepare for the tests that way, how can they tell? The other thing is, suppose you don't smoke routinely and are on record as a non-smoker but, hypothetically, you're at a party and decide to try a cigar offered guests. On the way home you have a bad accident and are hospitalized. Does that mean your claim is denied because the hospital finds nic in your blood? It seems to me this gestapo stuff can be just another tool for insurers to deny claims and I really, really, hope there are law suits.

Not if you still test positive for nicotine.
You can chain vape 24 mg. nic and still test negative for nicotine. I've seen posts that talk about this.
...and everyone tests positive for nicotine, nicotine is present in tomatoes and many other foods, not to mention our body naturally produces nicotine. Niacin (Vitamin B12) is nicotinic acid. I call BS on this one.

EDIT: I know it looks like I'm contradicting myself here. Vapers generally test negative for the amounts of nicotine found in smokers and other tobacco users. They will still test positive for the same (approximate) level of nicotine as is found in non-smokers.
