So, you put less flavoring not because of difference in nicotine strength, but because of difference in tastes of end users.

OK, I understand. I guess it depends on the brand of nicotine used then. So some folks may need more flavoring to mask the taste of a stronger tasting nicotine but it isn't necessarily true for all. Got cha. Thank you.I mix my own juice, if i'm mixing higher concentrations for someone else(1 person 24mg) I have to put about 25% flavoring to mask the nicotine, in my 4mg juice I only need about 6% flavoring, I actually only use about 4 or 5% in mine since I don't like too much flavor.
no that's just me, I have sinus problems, if I have too much flavor my taste buds get muted, I'll edit that I meant to say 6mg not 4mg...So, you put less flavoring not because of difference in nicotine strength, but because of difference in tastes of end users.
He did not discredited the methods in the recent article. Only interpretation.
By the way I use 0.5-2% flavors. So I am not in "diacetyl risk" group.no that's just me, I have sinus problems, if I have too much flavor my taste buds get muted, I'll edit that I meant to say 6mg not 4mg...
Most definitely! Or mixing your own, there's plenty of flavors out there that contain zero diacetyl, this is the main reason I started mixing my own, I figure better safe than sorry. This is why I advocate vaping flavorless if you're concerned.

EDIT: Actually, I do not even know whether some of my flavors contain diacetyl. Many of them are dual use flavors - for my vaping and for my wife's coffee.
There is certainly harm when you are inhaling anything. It is not fear mongering propaganda. It is scientific fact that has been researched by well established universities.
Best is it sounds like they only tested ecigs sold mostly by big tobacco, people that don't care about the health of their consumers...Facts, I love me some facts....Where are they??
Are you talking the same scientific reasoning they used to pick the juices tested...
"Methods: We selected 51 types of flavored e-cigarettes sold by leading e-cigarette brands and flavors we deemed were appealing to youth."
That sounds biased already, not a very scientific way to begin a study
I vape because it got me off a far more harmful tobacco habit and continues to do so, is it completely safe personally I think there are risks but lower then the alternative for me. As for recreational vapers don't know, don't care really got zero interest in that group or concern. Vape or don't vape only adults are supposed to be doing this so make an adult decision after doing some research but once you make your choice be happy with it not constantly looking for something wrong with it.
.I feel like there are too many posts about Diacetyl right now and the fear mongering is out of control.
