Another update:
I started on my first home-charge of the silver Istick on Tuesday 7th. at 10:25pm. The battery lasted until Saturday 11th at 4:35pm after vaping about 2 mls a day. That seems outstanding to me.
I started on the black one yesterday the 11th at that same time 4:35pm and out of 5 bars on the battery indicator, as of this writing it's still down only 2 bars. The first bar usually goes pretty quick anyway.
When I first charged the silver Istick, it took about 2 hours on a 1 amp wall adapter. By the time it was full, both the wall adaptor and Istick were quite warm. Not a concern, just a reference.
When it was time to charge the black one I instead used a 0.5 amp wall adapter. It took almost 3 hours and when it was full, both the wall adapter and Istick were stone cold; no change in temp from when I started the charge.
In order to test the charge consistency between the silver and the black, and to test the difference between charging the silver with each wall adapter, yesterday I gave the silver one its second home-charge but this time on the 0.5 amp wall adapter. Like the black one, the silver one and wall adapter were stone cold after almost a 3 hour charge.
I think I'll continue using the 0.5 amp wall adapter as I figure a slower and cooler charge-time may benefit the long term life of the battery, plus I have 2 Isticks so I don't need the faster charge-time.
In case no one has tried it yet: if you turn the Istick off (5 click) before charging it, the display will show only the battery indicator and will show it length-wise along the display and almost fill the screen. It will flash the number of bars to indicate the status of charge; then soon before full, it will flash all bars at once for about 15-20 minutes before turning off (full).
Yeah the Istick does require me to set the voltage quite a bit lower than all my other devices to get the same strength of hit, but I can still use it on all my tanks and OEM consumer coils and it otherwise performs superbly in every way. So far it's a fabulous little mod!
