Itaste vtr question

So my friend has the itaste vtr and he's been vaping for about six months longer than I have (about a month) and he insists that his vtr runs variable voltage and variable wattage at the same time. He is using a 2.1 ohm head, and says he runs at 6v and 15w, but the math for tha doesn't add up. To run a 2.1 ohm head at 6v equals about 17w, not 15w. Now, I'm no expert. Like I said I've been vaping for about a month, but I know how ohms law works. To run at 6v and 15w you'd need a 2.4 ohm head. Am I wrong about this or is he? I'm genuinely stumped.

You're right, it can only run one mode at a time...without breaking Ohm's Law and that is not allowed...

Well, you are both right. Can only use one mode at a time, but when on varies the wattage setting the volts change to provide the watts set at, when one varies the voltage setting that changes to watts that are supplied to the coil. It's all a part of the same equation of ohms law, just a different way of turning the crank. Two ways to get to the same vape and to adjust your preferred level of the juice and atomizer that you are vaping.

Certainly sounds like you're more of an expert than your friend

You are right. You cannot adjust both simultaneously. If you adjust Voltage (power input), the Wattage (Power output) is what comes out of it. If you adjust the Wattage, the mod adjusts the voltage automatically to meet your desired output.
