Their reputation? Of selling all kinds of crappy Chinese clones with the occasional decent item?

I laughed pretty hard at that one.

Myself, and many others on ecf are very happy with the products from fasttech.

I have had mech`s, drippers, and tanks. All perform fantasticaly. And i would feel 100% confident in purchasing an itheka.

In fact i have one in my wishlist, alongside the crappy oddyseus.

if it doesn't require a NR wire build i'll probably end up ordering one. looking forward to hearing if does or not... i've had pretty good luck with the FT knock offs sofar and most of them being so cheap if they're complete crap it's not a biggie for me. in the parts bin they go ;)

It looks like it will need no res legs on the coil because of the length of the legs. The reviews on the product page all say it will need a NR/R/NR build. Hope this helps.

all of oddy , penelope or ithaka, doesn't really need NR wire, NR wire help to make smaller resistance.
if you using it on the VV no problem, but on mech it depend on you.

ithaka is dual coil wich mean, you halfing the resistance on your coil. i build my oddy clone using 32 awg only, it gave me 2,2 ohm. so if i build it on ithaka dual coil setup, i get around 1,1-1,2 ohm on the same leght of khantal i use on oddy.

hope thats help.

I'm just gonna see what the standard coil set up looks like when I get mine, obviously give it a good clean first though. That's what I love about vaping, having to tinker with set-ups. I know it's not for everyone, but it helps to keep my interest going.

Got my Ithaka clone this morning. Needed a good cleaning and made sure everything was screwed down tight where it should be tight. Ran a 1/2 tank of juice to break it in and then filled 'er up. Ran it mainly at 10-11.5 watts and it produced quite intense flavor. Got to make sure this baby is put together right and tight. The tiny washer on the positive post on the bottom is very important and can empty your tank in no time.
I found the flavor of one of my favorite juices was almost too intense to vape in the clone and I have been heavy into dripping for the last three weeks with single and dual coil drippers.
If you rewire this clone, use the non-resistant wire to resistant wire or else you will have hot coils running down to the bottom of the "ceramic" and this could heat up/warp/melt the o-ring and other gasket under the ceramic down there. It even comes with the non resistant in there for a reason.

Transformer, Ithaka, AGA 2t+ with restricted flow cap
